+TheElle05 I got emotional while watching this video. Somehow your words helped me to realise I'm not alone. It makes me so happy to see amazing fathers like Steve. To be honest, I developed such bad PTSD from my Dad that I don't have the strength to become the professional singer I have wanted to be my entire life. I have videos of me singing here on KZbin, and have has so many opportunities to work with amazing producers. I can barely get out of bed now. Therapy, meds, distraction...I've been trying to be stable for so long..trying to get better with full effort. Three years was the longest duration of time that I felt most functional. Since then, I've been baseline NUMB (emotionally) unless i self medicate. I'm sorry for pouring my heart out. I'm just in so much pain. I get judged by everyone and dismissed by so many people. They think I'm crazy. In reality, I'm logical...I'm just scared. I'm 28 and afraid to have children, despite the fact that i have always longed to be a mother. Thankfully my Mom is amazing. Again I'm so sorry for the long comment. My heart goes out to you! You're not alone. Pray for faith in Jesus

Candi Jenner I'm sorry that you had such a horrible experience. I am happy you have a mother who is on this journey with you. Never let something hold you back from following your dreams. I believe Robert Frost's A Road not taken comes to mind, and that whole meaning behind it is to not be afraid to travel down the road your sacred to be on, sometimes that's all it takes.. I am happy that you felt you could reach out to me, I wish more people would.. not having a father in my life was not to bad growing up because you can't miss what you never had; however as an adult it bothers me that if or when I have kids I will not be able to tell them anything about him. I don't have a name or even a picture...so Thank you for your words they mean so much.. And feel free to reach out anytime.. I am going to start doing videos so feel free to reach out..I hope to check your videos out ASAP so you'll be hearing from me..XO elle..

Sigh. this touched me. I think Steve's approach is the correct approach. In that, a father should hold his son in law accountable. I can't understand how family sits back and watches their loved ones get mistreated in relationships/marriages. A father especially should not take a hands off approach; because he's the one who entrusted this man with his daughter. It makes me sad that my father won't be around to be that person for me but I hope my brothers won't just sit by and watch me get mistreated. I absolutely agree that he should still continue to champion her happiness.

Absolutely gal. Correct words
@AEvans369635 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry your father won't be there for you, but why would you allow yourself to be mistreated? Your brothers shouldn't have to be in a position to watch that. Let him know straight up that you won't tolerate such treatment and don't tolerate that, and hopefully you won't have to worry about your brothers having to come to the rescue. Here's to hoping they won't find that necessary.

I do not know Steve Harvey personally, hence the disclamer to allow me to make a remarkable observation. I have followed Steve Harvey career on the screen like everyone else. What I have noticed that he has grown into a remarkable man even moreso when he married his beautiful wife Marjorie. We all fall down in life the remarkable challenge is how we recover after our mishap. Unfortunately Steve's mishap are all captured and reported on moments after it occurs. I cannot immagine living in a fishbowl and crack under pressure. Yet, time and time again he has shown himself to be a standup guy thereby strenghten his brand. I was very impress with this segment, not all of us have fathers( for many reasons) that went the extra mile to insure that our special day or anyday was special. I relish in the fact that your priorities for family is paramount and everything you do supports that. Thank-you Steve for being you!

Steve, you remind me of my Daddy soooo much. He might be a white South African man, but the values of a good man transcends nationalities, race and generations. He is a real manly man of God that knows how to take care of business. Ruthless in protecting his loved ones and with tenderest of hearts. God help the soul that dares to hurt one of his daughters. When it comes to me and my sister, my Dad's motto is, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous." My Dad grew up poor and all the wealth that he enjoys today is because he worked HARD to give his family everything that he never had when he was growing up. My Dad is my hero. I was a very troubled young person. I did all the things I was not supposed to do and he bailed me out every time, without conditions for his love and forgiveness. My Dad is the reason that I gave my heart to the Lord. He didn't achieve this by quoting scriptures and telling me about the wrath if God. He never spoke to me about God, he showed me. He lives God's love. He showed me the true nature of God. Limitless love, understanding and forgiveness if only I would accept it. Steve, if you can lead someone to God, without talking about God, you know that you have got it right. My Dad saved my life. I can see the same spirit in you Mr Harvey, you get it. You are a role model for every young man out in the world. You are passing that same spirit along to all the young men in your family and I know that they will do the same thing in their own families. Well done.

Steve calling him he's brother like he grew up with him. So much respect for Steve. If there is anyone I want to be like when I'm older, one person in the whole world, that would be Steve Harvey ♥️♥️🤝🤝🤝

Harvey is a trip. I just love listening to his stories and his marriage to Majorie. She is a beautiful woman full of wisdom and love all the time. Such an amazing husband and father to all his children. So blessed.

Steve Harvey I wish I had a dad as sweet and protective as much as you, I never got that I was abused in everyway by my father, which he ruined me mentally 😢.
@justinyoderallison5998 Жыл бұрын
Aww you might not have a lovely and caring protective dad like him,but you can still have a husband exactly that way, you married may I ask
@melody9241 Жыл бұрын
@@justinyoderallison5998 No I'm not married but I've been in relationships where I had been beaten, R, and I'm afraid of anybody because even my father did it to me with his wife holding me down and going in on the action too 😔. I'm embarrassed and afraid to step outside unless I take a taxi to the grocery store and back.

@@melody9241 OMG this so tragic pretty I'm really sorry about that,if your dad can do that to you that means he doesn't value you as he's daughter,I think he's your biological father,or Maybe he's wife might be the one giving him a bad idea doing that to you,umm I think you should change location maybe marry outside, where you from?

Was that a threat, or a promise? Young man, you had better listen closely. Before you say "I do", make absolutely positively sure that you really do. (Or else!) "It's a thin line... between love and hate".

I strive to be the most amazing father one day, just like Steve. Everything he does, he cares, he loves he support each and every single person in his family. Steve Harvey is hands down, a leading example of a great father and role model.

What I love about Steve is he's never shied away from the mistakes he's made in his past marriages, but people keep bringing it up, as if he's acting like he never did wrong. People be like "oh, he's giving marital advice like he got it all together"... but he does, because he had to get it wrong a few times to finally get it right.
