Hearing about her crossing the border made me tear up, I had no idea Karlita had her struggles learning English. I'm happy that Karlita got to share this side of her. I've always seen the fun-outgoing Karlita so getting an understanding of her upbringing made me realize that Karla definitely persevered. Going into the portion of when she spoke about her ex, was hard to hear. I can only imagine how difficult it was for Karla to be in between her bf and her family. Only she knows what she went through and why she stayed. I commend her for both trying to stay and also getting up and leaving. I pray that Karla is doing well and that she continues to go to therapy and eventually she finds love.

The fact he told her she was using him for papers, shows you he USED DF outta her. He assumed she would stick with him till he married her & he didn’t commit because he thought once she got papers she would leave. But she loved him. & got tired of being mistreated and now that she moved on HE MADDDD. Cause he realized she wasn’t with him for papers. She was with him for love. Bet he feels stupid now. This is so sad on the part of her relationship because it happened to me besides the abusive part. It’s so sad how it’s like normal for us to feel that way to defend this person we think will change. I would always feel this is only me and only I can forgive a person over and over. This was so intense to me and I really feel for her. Had me in tears. I hope the best for her!

I could relate to Karlita, it's so heartbreaking when you lose the person you love to alcohol and then you try to forgive and stay because in the back of your head you think they'll change. It's crazy the fact that we keep it to ourselves mean while they act like the victim and involve others when you try not to bring anyone in because you love them. It's honestly a living hell emotional and physical abuse😢💔
