2:38 the line "hear our prayer, from despair these years of slavery grow too cruel to stand" is so emotional😔 the movie really did a good job of showing just how exhausting and painful those years of slavery were even in this short musical number. Especially right after Moses has his perspecive shift where he's noticing all of the slaves being whipped and working to the bone, which he never paid mind to before. This movie was kind of hardcore for a kids movie

I think as Christians we can listen and resonate with this song deeply as we think about how Christ has heard our cries to deliver us (even as He is said to be the better Moses) who came to deliver us from an even greater Pharoah our bondage to the powers of sin and death ~ or as non-Christians who recognise this or even struggling saints we can continue to share in the faith of the Israelites as they cry out to God who is faithful to His Word and promises to save all those who would call upon Him

My mother's a devout Catholic and I am atheist. When we watched this movie when I was younger, we finished the movie crying. Her, because of the pain the believers were put in and because she was thankful they had finally been heard and delivered. I cried because of Moses and Rameses' relationship having been torn apart due to different ideals. This is a movie for everyone. It's respectful to Christianity and Christian material such as the bible, but is also a beautiful story about family and how holding grudges vs being forgiving can affect that family.

God definitely cares, Jesus whom is the one and only true God and Creator came to earth 2000+ years ago to go to the cross to pay our sin debt in full. His sacrifice was sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death and that true and only God is JESUS! And He did all that because He loves us and wants to save us and have a relationship with us. JESUS is the only way to Heaven, only He can save us from sin and from hell ( Luke 5:32, John 14, Romans 6:23). Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him, He won't cast you away from Himself if you come to Him. He calls us all to repentance, He loves us and wants to save us. believe and have faith in God then the Holy Spirit will come in and lead you to repent of your sins and God will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you by the blood of Jesus and you'll get born again by His Holy Spirit and have His salvation, you will become a new creation (John 3:3-19). God bless

Wow. Well done.

This could make a great teaser trailer shown in theaters with MouseHunt and at the end of its vhs. It's kinda like the teaser of Circle of Life for The Lion King. It opens with a text appearing saying "Next Christmas, Dreamworks Pictures will present its first animated feature." Technically, Antz is the first, but I don't consider that the first. I think Prince of Egypt is the true first. More to the point, the next text says "What follows is the opening song that begins the story." Then you can play the music at 0:00 with the Dreamworks logo playing the end part of its logo then morphing to the color clouds. After the song the title, which appears before the song begins, I would put it after the song when it cuts to black and make it appear there. So in the opening, in its place, I would place "With very special thanks to Cecil B. DeMille" then play the song and save the title for the cut to black like Circle of Life. After the title fades out, I would add one final text saying "To Be Continued December 1998." Like my conceptual teaser trailer idea?

This was made by most of the same people who worked on The Lion King.

Yeah. Of course, if they did use this song as an early teaser, I imagine some of the animation wouldn't be complete yet, but I bet audiences would be blown away by the setting of the story and applaud when the song was over in the trailer like Circle of Life.

Did you know when they were slaying the unspotted lambs for Passover Jesus was going to be crucified as the sacrificial Lamb without spot? Also just as was prophesied in the Old Testament not one of Jesus’ bones was broken just as it was commanded the Passover lamb to not have one bone broken? You can’t even plan this. Wow! Only God could plan that! As they drove the nails in His hands He said Father forgive them. That’s his love and mercy. Wow! And He rose again as the first fruits of the dead on the feast of first fruits which is also the same day Noah’s ark landed on Mt. Ararat! Wow! God never ceases to amaze me! Jesus loves you and died for you! Receive the deliverance and love of God today!

this is so sad good thing God sent Moses to Egypt to free these people
@elisabethkarnes92835 жыл бұрын
technically God didn't send Moses to Egypt since he was already living there. But later he does send him back. so its kinda yes and no.

The spirit of Moses, the song of Moses, in the name of Jesus, the spirit of FREEDOM, the spirit of LIBERTY, came to bring you up out of the spiritual Egypt. Chicago Illinois pay attention!!! You are a child of God who has already been set free by the blood of the Lamb which is Jesus. You are an overcomer. But how do you overcome? We SHALL OVERCOME BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY!!!! Chicago I plead the blood of Jesus over you and tell you that your freedom has already been granted, decreed and proclaimed. Amen.
