Karmas or actions are the gross manifestation or the visible effect of its finer cause- thoughts. As each and every karma has its effect, so does each and every thought. They are not momentary. Each and every thought though unseen, leaves a deep impression in this cosmic world. Hence, as the thoughts get rectified, the karmas automatically gets rectified. Each and everything is not just ours. It is the sum total and the expression of the past similar thoughts which are already present in this universe as subtle vibrations. If we pay heed to our thoughts, the future will automatically get rectified and work for the well being of the universe.
This is the science of karma as beautifully elucidated by Swami Sankarananda, the General Secretary of the International Vedanta Society.
