this story is so similar to my mom. during fresno new year 97, her ex best friend named PA stole all her cash & gold jewelries while they were dressing up and my mom was in the bathroom. came back home from the new year to find out she got robbed. Irony was.. this evil PA got the nerve to blamed it on us kids!! a few months later, she bumped into PA wearing her gold necklace at the hmong store & that's when she knew. ofc, elders won't do shit since my mom can't prove it. Huge lesson learned!
