It's so funny. I remember years ago being so not into the sound Karma Field was bringing to the table. But coming back to their releases on Monstercat all these years later, and listening to their post Monstercat stuff, I realize how dumb I was. This sound is so ahead of its time. I think at the time Karma Fields was starting, people had a narrow perception of what a song on Monstercat was, so they responded negatively. If this came out today, I think people would love it. Heck it SOUNDS like it could come out today. It's aged so well. One of my all time favorite Monstercat songs.
@SkirmishX6 ай бұрын
I think during that era of Monstercat, everything was centric around dubstep, house, electro, trap, etc. and we never realized the greatness that Karma Fields was. Back then I was 12 so thats all I enjoyed at the time, but now that I'm nearly 21, I think now that I've matured and grown to appreciate media, this song sounds incredible and was so ahead of its time. Wish KF released music on this label :(

Was surfing the web when i randomly found this, so i thought i should share my opinions on it ^_^ I scrolled down and read through pretty much all the comments, and - YES, they hit some very strange notes that didn't really make any sense at all.. and YES, it's very flat sounding and nothing special is happening. It's just that plucky synth sound throughout the whole thing. And YES, the vocals makes no sense at all, and doesn't really match the background music.. But DAMN!!.. This is some of the most original work i have ever heard. Have you heard anything as hypnotic, weird(in a good way), abstract and just mind blowing as this before? well neither have i! We need more of this, and i cant wait to see what Karma will come up with next. I personally wouldn't listen to this in the car.. or on the train or whatever. But thats just me and my music taste. What i love about this is how original and unique it is, and how it plays with your mind. And dont even get me started on the video.. It's just as trippy as the song itself. and i freakin LOVE IT!

I actually really, I mean REALLY love this. It has that relaxing and calm but also aggresive and harsh feel to it... I just love that kind of stuff in music, really makes it have a LOT more variation if done correctly. It also feels like a Trance/Electro hybrid which I just ADORE. Also Kwok's editing skills are beyond what I could even make.

I am coming around to this song. The melody that originally sounded dissonant has come together to a suspenseful, cool, and shifty feel. The soothing, calm atmosphere evoked by the soft instrumentals and enigmatic vocals is quite lovely. Definitely a novel song that I can get appreciation out of.

I am so convinced Karma Fields is Tristam. Karma Fields joined Monstercat out of nowhere, and the name alone sounds like something Tristam would come up with. Plus, KF's style reminds me of Tristam's. Not to mention that Tristam likes to be mysterious, and no one knows virtually anything about KF. To be honest, I think this is better than the beta. In my opinion. I like the semi-trancey, complex vibe this has, it's a really nice and innovative track, or at least that's how I see it. The beta didn't make much to pump me, it was alright but it just felt a bit boring to me. Although I do get why some people wouldn't like this, you gotta be into this sort of thing to enjoy this.
