DELHI: For the first time, government job aspirants will have the option of taking the multitasking (non-technical) staff examination, scheduled to be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission on May 2, in 13 regional languages, in addition to Hindi and English. The department of personnel and training had in January this year, based on the recommendations of an expert committee, decided in principle that SSC would conduct the MTS (non-technical) examination in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri and Konkani, apart from Hindi and English. Giving effect to the decision, SSC will start by conducting the MTS Examination, 2022 and Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2022 in 15 languages used by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection or Railway Recruitment Board for conducting their examination. While notice of the MTS exam was issued earlier, the notice for the CHSL Exam in multi-language format will be issued in May-June 2023.
