Book with me & Will b searching for the song....through out the concerts😄 So what i feel is, Y can't the musicians announce Raagam Thalam Composer & then some speciality abt. the song. So tat there will b some interaction bet audience too. But, Nobody is doing it. RTP na yenna nu mandaya pichunda kaalam ellaam undu😄 Before Singing a RTP They can very well giv a short note abt it. Vry rarely ... some people used to tell the pallavi lines & thaala kattu In RTP They will change 3 to 4 raagaas towards the end. Some musicians used to sing the Raagams & thaanams For all those raagaas they r going to sing at the end. Its very very difficult Ragam maarinde irukkum Namakku mandya pichukkum😇😇😇 Idhellaam puriyave Varsha kaalam aachu Idhellaam Avaa explain panneettu paadinaa All can enjoy the concert. Then, Virutham will b in Ragamaligai They can tell Wat r the ragaas in that... Some musical genius will b present around us... Finding all raagaas takku nu in Ragamaligai Raising their collars😄 Half of the people don't know abt RTP & Ragamaligai If carnatic music has to reach a huge audience, Musicians konjam manam irangi Yellaarkkum puriyara maadri sonnaa thevalai.

Yes Shobana....sometimes I wonder why musicians don't take the extra effort to reach out to the audience. At least after the song is over, they should announce. Sometimes they do if it's a rare ragam. The whole set up is very intimidating for those who are new or don't have knowledge.

If V take, film songs, people remember it as Sivaji song Rajini song Kamal song Vijay song etc.in the name of the hero.😀 Even though, they have not written the lyrics or composed the song. But in carnatic music Mostly Both lyrics & music were composed by trinities & niraya composers Appo... Every Musician have to Tell that now... Yevlo periya pokkisham we have with us. They have to show some respect for that.🙏 Also, they are earning by singing their compositions only. Even in film orchestra programs They announce the name of Music directors Singers Before singing.

All your views are surely acceptable by every one Madam. No doubt about it at all. Shall I express my views Madam on this subject, i.e. appreciating the Carnatic Music concerts? In my view, one vidwan or vidhushi should become a RASIKA to himself/ herself at first. He should never try to impress the listeners besides having put enough practice several times before rendering a concert. Tradition should be given main importance. I want to quote an incident happened in the life of Sri Adhi Sankarar. Once Sri Lakshmi Devi appeared before him and wanted to his knowledge almost in every subject. When she asked Him about Music, He immediately replied , " SRUTHI MAATHA , LAYAM PITHA , BHAAVAM PRAANAM". What you say about Manodharmam , tradition should be given most important. First of all, the person who renders such concerts should RESPECT the holy music tradition without deviation at any instant. He/she should not introduce his own Sangathis in the kruthis when rendering in a concert. Original tune should not be spoiled. Presenting a kruthi should be very decent with respect to Tradition, sri Saraswathi Devu, Gurus, listeners. Dignity should be maintained . Now a days, some people learn to some extent and give concerts and when they become famous, they start expressing with their heads shaking ackwardly deeply degrading the concerts and dare to change the original tune of the kirtans. We should not blame the rasikas alone. Even if the rasikas do not know about the raag or thaalam, it is the responsibility of the performer to initiate interest in rasikas to listen the Carnatic concerts. Finally what I conclude is, a Vidwan will be respected automatically by any listener of his concerts if and only if he/she presents the divine Carnatic concerts in a decent manner respecting tradition avoiding ugly ackward boat dance/kutthaatam and decent face expressions.
