Karna and Arjuna are the most famous warrior characters of the famous epic Mahabharat composed by Maharshi Veda Vyasa. Both were the ferocious warriors that even today most of us get confused regarding who was better. 🤔
Mahabharat tells us clearly about the chivalry of both the warriors and if we take a reference of Mahabharat, we will surely reach some good conclusion. 😇
I have tried to show some facts from Mahabharat regarding the fighting skills of Karna and Arjuna in this video.

Hare Krishna 🙏 Kavach Kundala were taken away by Indra not by Lord Krishna, and Indra being father of Arjuna was anxious about Arjuna. But ultimately, whatever happened was the will of the Supreme Lord. Krishna alone could have killed all during the Mahabharat war, but He wanted to establish Pandavas (who were pious and His devotees), and annihilate the demons with all sinful activities.

Arjun was able to counter it with pashupatastra or vaishnavastra. But it could have brought insolence to surya dev, similarly use of vasavi shakti on ghatotkach was also necessary as if arjun had countered it with pashupatastra or vaishnavastra ( clearly pashupatastra and vaishnavastra have no counter other than these 2 weapons itself) it could have brought insolence to indra as he gave vashavi sakti as infallible. And if your only dominant ability that gives you edge above your competitor is kawach and kundal gifted by gods without any penance or anything in return, then how can anyone say he is better than arjun.

Karna vs Arjuna? Who was the greater warrior? How can we decide? Let us work it out logically. To begin with, there can be no comparison between the disciples of Parashurama and the disciples of Dronacharya. Parashurama taught for the love of teaching, whereas Dronacharya taught for money, so any rich king/prince/nobleman could become his disciple. Talent and aptitude took a back seat, if they mattered at all. Just look at the logistics, and the picture becomes clear. Parashurama only had a few disciples at any point of time, whereas, Dronacharya, like a good businessman, ran a large establishment (ashrama) with at least 110 disciples (5 Pandavas + 100 Kaurarvas + Ashwathama + several other princes/kings from all over Aryavrata). If he loved Arjuna most of all, this was at least partly based on his very successful business strategy for becoming the foremost martial arts teacher in the region. In any case, how much time and personal attention could he have given Arjuna, in a class of 110+ students? He couldn't simply ignore all the others, could he? And being an excellent businessman, he always worked on the principle of extending the dependency of his clients on himself for as long as possible. Consequently, he never taught Arjuna all he knew, whereas Parashurama, prompted only by his love for teaching deserving disciples, was always ready to give 100% of his knowledge to his disciples. To sum up, Karna was the son of a god just like Arjuna, had at least as much martial aptitude as him, quite possibly a greater determination to prove his worth to the world (because of all the discrimination and injustice he continually faced), a far better quality of martial education, an impenetrable armour, and also a bow (Vijaya) that made him invincible, all at the same time. It is even said that he embodied the martial prowess of all the Pandavas put together. Where, then, is the question of his being inferior to Arjuna? No wonder Lord Krishna praised him so much, to Arjuna's consternation. Another, crucial, point here is that being the greatest ARCHER does not automatically equate to being the greatest WARRIOR. He who has the greatest skill/knowledge/capacity in archery can be the greatest ARCHER. But to win a war, he would need a great deal more - specialized weapons and equipment and techniques that his opponents lack, both offensive and defensive. Plus expertise/experience in various vidyas/siddhis/mayas/combat strategies, formations etc. No doubt Arjuna was a highly skilled archer and a great fighter to boot, but he acutely lacked the extra-special skills/weapons/equipment/specialized knowledge needed to win wars against his rivals (at least until the time he obtained the Pashupata missile and other weapons from Indra). Until then, he couldn't really aspire to become the greatest WARRIOR of HIS time, let alone of all times. In any case, the rivalry between Indra and Surya, and consequently their sons, has been ongoing since Ramayana times. In both avataras, the Lord sided with the weaker one - His devotee, the one on dharma's side - and made him win against the odds.

Virat war: Arjuna singlehandedly defeated all kaurava warriors including Karna (thrice), Bhishma and Drona and destroyed the entire kuru army alone to save the Matsya kingdom (refer Virata Parvam in Authentic Mahabharat eg: BORI CE) 2. Fight with Gandharvas: Karna was defeated by Gandharva king Chithrasena, captured Duryodhana and Karna fled away. But Arjuna alone defeated Chithrasena and released Duryodhana 3. Panchal war: Karna was defeated along with other Kauravas by Drupada; Arjun defeated and captured Drupada 4. At Draupadi Swayamvar: Karna fought with Arjun but was defeated by Arjun and Karna retreated. 5. Mahabharat war day 14: Arjuna slaughtered the Kaurava army and defeated Karna and Drona while hunting for Jayadratha. Nobody could stand against him on that day. He destroyed 7 akshauhinis that day (refer wikipedia Drona parva) Who is better: 1. Abhimanyu's death: Abhimanyu defeated Karna many times during the war and he was invincible for anyone so he along with 7 other warriors through betrayal jointly attacked him like a coward. But on 17th day Arjun challenged the entire army to protect Karna's son Vrishsena and killed him in front of Karna in one-to-one battle. 2. Arjuna was ambidextrous: He was the only warrior who could use both right and left hand for using weapon 3. Arjuna could aim and shoot upto many kilometers even during night 4. Arjuna was the only warrior to wield the mighty Pashupatastra in dwapara yuga, which could destroy the entire cosmos; the only warrior to fight Lord Shiva and impress him. If you read Kirata parva, Lord Shiva said, that no one except him and lord Vishnu from all the three worlds could defeat Arjuna 5. Arjuna was the only warrior who knew all the five tatvas of Archery(fifth one is the ability to give back life) 6. Dhanur Veda, the holy scripture of archery starts by praising lord Shiva, lord Rama and Arjuna 7. Arjuna singlehandedly killed 30 million Nivatakavachas and Kalakeyas whom even Ravan couldn't defeat 8. Arjuna was Nara, the partial incarnation of lord Vishnu himself.

You tell me one simple thing, if Arjun was better warrior in comparison to other warriors in kurukshetra then why did God (Lord krishna) himself have to come to help Arjun and other Pandavs as well ?Why didn't Arjun finish this war alone without any help of lord Krishna lord Indra and lord Hanuman?Now I will teach you how to compare. To defeat that great warrior karn , Lord Krishna himself and Indra, the king of the gods and Hanuman, the king of the powers had to take Arjuna's side to beat just Karna 😂 . Three Gods were involved directly to beat Karna . And you still think he's better then Karn.And look at the other side, his armor ,which was his real power. His armor was also taken away by the god Indra and his divine weapon was also destroyed because of the curse.This means that Arjun had entered the battle with his full power and with the support of three Gods, whereas the karn is without his actual power, even with the half his real power he was entered in the battle .And you be honest with yourself, just imagine if Krishna, Hanuman, Indra were not with Arjun and And karn would enter the battle with his full power and his real strength then what would have happened to Arjun ?

Hare Krishna 🙏 Thank you for observing things very closely and now let's try to understand this in the same way. Lord is equal to everyone, but for those who are His devotees, He specially favours them (Bhakta vatsala). Krishna says in Bhagavadgita (Which is a part of Mahabharat- Bhishma Parva)- ये तु धर्मामृतमिदं यथोक्तं पर्युपासते । श्रद्दधाना मत्परमा भक्तास्तेऽतीव मे प्रिया: ॥-12.20 (Those who follow this imperishable path of devotional service and who completely engage themselves with faith, making Me the supreme goal, are very, very dear to Me.) We see in Mahabharata that Lord Krishna always supported Pandavas. And Krishna is the Supreme Lord Himself. And the Supreme Lord always support His devotees. Hence proved that Pandavas were devotees of the Lord and that's how they always got a special favour by Him. On the other side, Karna having all strength, was not specially favoured by the Lord, that means He was not His devotee at all. Lord Krishna, being compassionate towards him, warned him, but Karna kept the evil side. He had his own principles superior than the Lord's instructions. Hence all power given to him was snatched away from him eventually.

नास्य शस्त्रं व्यर्थ याति पूर्वेषां च महारथः। नास्य हि विक्रमे तुल्यः पृथिव्यां विद्यते जनः ॥ अर्थ: कर्ण के द्वारा छोड़ा गया कोई भी शस्त्र कभी व्यर्थ नहीं जाता। वह महारथी है और युद्ध के मैदान में उसकी वीरता और शक्ति के समान कोई नहीं है। विश्लेषणः इस श्लोक में कर्ण की शक्ति और कौशल की सराहना की गई है। यह बताता है कि कर्ण युद्ध में अपार शक्ति और दक्षता रखते थे, और उनका हर शस्त्र अपने लक्ष्य को अवश्य भेदता था। उन्हें पृथ्वी पर युद्ध में अजेय योद्धा के रूप में देखा जाता था। 2. दानवीरः कृतवीरः सत्यवाक्यः प्रतापवान्। ऐश्वर्ये व समं कर्णं न पश्यामि पृथा कुले ॥ अर्थः कर्ण दानवीर, कृतवीर (कार्य करने वाला वीर), सत्यव्रती, और प्रतापवान था। पृथ्वी पर ऐश्वर्य में उनके समान कोई दूसरा नहीं था। विश्लेषणः यह श्लोक कर्ण की उदारता, सच्चाई, और पराक्रम का वर्णन करता है। कर्ण को दानवीर के रूप में जाना जाता था, जो अपने शत्रुओं को भी दान देने से नहीं हिचकिचाते थे। उनकी वीरता और ऐश्वर्य का कोई सानी नहीं था। 3. कर्णो विक्रमसंयुक्तो नास्य तुल्यः पृथा कुले। अस्ति यो योद्धृत्यां हि शत्रुवशं नयेत् ॥ अर्थ: कर्ण विक्रम से संपन्न था और पृथा (पृथ्वी) पर उसके समान कोई दूसरा योद्धा नहीं था, जो अपने शत्रुओं को पराजित कर सके। विश्लेषणः इस श्लोक में कर्ण की अद्वितीयता और शक्ति का वर्णन है। यह बताता है कि युद्ध के क्षेत्र में कर्ण के बराबर का कोई योद्धा नहीं था। उनका साहस और युद्ध कौशल उन्हें अत्यंत शक्तिशाली योद्धा बनाता था। 4. कर्मण्यकौशलमिदं कर्णस्येति मया श्रुतम्। व्रणेऽपि च न विप्राणि रणोऽप्यस्य न दुस्तरः ॥ अर्थ: मैंने सुना है कि कर्ण की युद्ध में अद्वितीय दक्षता है। वह घाव से भी विचलित नहीं होता और रणभूमि में कोई भी उसे आसानी से पराजित नहीं कर सकता। विश्लेषणः इस श्लोक में कर्ण की अद्वितीय युद्ध क्षमता की प्रशंसा की गई है। यह बताता है कि कर्ण युद्ध में घायल होने पर भी नहीं झुकते थे, और उनका सामना करना किसी के लिए भी आसान नहीं था। 5. निहत्यानि हतं सर्वं राजानं कर्णनायकम्। न शक्यं केनचिन्मयें कर्तुं यद्धि कृतं त्वया ॥ अर्थः जिस प्रकार कर्ण ने युद्ध में विजय प्राप्त की और शत्रुओं को पराजित किया, वैसा किसी और मानव के लिए करना संभव नहीं है। 6. अद्यापि च मया ज्ञातं कर्णं योद्धारमुत्तमम्। यस्य वीर्येण बलिना नित्यं सर्वे नश्च यस्यति ॥ अर्थः आज भी मुझे यह ज्ञात हुआ है कि कर्ण एक सर्वोत्तम योद्धा है, जिसकी वीरता और शक्ति के कारण सभी उसके सामने झुकते हैं। 7. कर्णस्य बलवृत्तं च सदा सत्ववतः प्रिये। नान्यः कर्णसमः पुमान् विद्यते रणमूर्धनि ॥ अर्थ: कर्ण के बल और साहस की कोई सीमा नहीं है। रणभूमि में कर्ण के समान कोर्ड परुष नहीं है।

हरे कृष्ण 🙏 निश्चित रूप से कर्ण महान् धनुर्धर थे। उनमें योग्यता थी, भगवान कृष्ण ने भी उनकी प्रशंसा की है। वास्तव में सारी योग्यता भगवान से ही मिलती है जिसका उपयोग हमें अच्छे कार्यों में करना चाहिए जिससे सबका भला हो। यदि किसी योग्यता को सही तरीके से इस्तेमाल नहीं किया जाता है तो वो किसी काम की नही होती बल्कि अपने ही विनाश का कारण बन जाती है। भगवान कर्ण के द्वारा हमें ये शिक्षा दे रहे हैं। कर्ण की योग्यता का गुणगान करने के बाद भी सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि के स्वामी अर्जुन के रथ के सारथी बने रहे और उनकी हर प्रकार से सहायता की। जिनसे सारी योग्यताएं आ रही हैं वे अर्जुन के साथ थे। तो अगर आप ये मान भी लो कि अर्जुन कर्ण से कम योग्य थे (जबकि ऐसा बिल्कुल भी नहीं था, हमनें श्लोकों के साथ बताया है कि कर्ण को कितनी बार हराया है अर्जुन ने), फिर भी अर्जुन ही महान् थे क्योंकि भगवान श्री कृष्ण उनका साथ दे रहे थे। भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने कर्ण को भी समझने का प्रयास किया था लेकिन वो नहीं माने। उनके लिए भगवान के आदेश से ज्यादा जरूरी उनके अपने विचार थे। परिणाम सब जानते हैं, कोन विजयी हुआ और कौन परस्त। हरे कृष्ण 🙏 हरे कृष्ण 🙏

Here are the realities and prove from Mahabharat ( KMG & Gita Press [ Vyas Dev] ) and still you have no argument / comment on this section. 1. On 17th day Arjun was defeated 3 times by Karna & reached almost near to death situation but he was saved by 3 different ways as given below. Bheem, Satyki, Dristadumana, Yudhisthir, Nakul, Sahadeb, Sikhandi also were defeated by KARNA Multiple times. 1.A. On 17th day Karna cut Arjun's Gandiv’s strings 11 times, but Gandivs had 100 strings, Karna did not know that. Every time Arjun was attaching just a new string end on the other side of his bow end but not the previous one. It was not a really tough matter for anyone if he got a pre arranged bow like that. It was the reality & the mystery. It means Arjun just took the advantage of his celestial bow which has too much multiple strings. It means if Gandiv had only one string then Arjun was killed by Karna for next ten times. But no needed of ten times, Arjun had only one head and only because of 100 strings in Gandiv Arjun was survived - proved. So obviously it was the sure defeating of Arjuna. - proved from KMG (Vyas Mahabharata.) Karna Parva -Day 17 - Section LXXXIX & from Gita Press. 1.B. After some time again Arjuna was failure to measure the speed of ‘Avimantrit SharpaMukhi Van’. Karna had more than one SharpaMukhi van. That arrow was the sure death of Arjuna actually but Krishna saved him. The speed of the arrow was controlled by Karna's Mantra mixed with his tremendous accurateness with throwing power. Arjun was not able at all to estimate the speed and power of that special arrow. So Krishna had to save Arjun. Krishna's technique brought the whole chariot in down position with Arjun and the arrow cut his crown instead of his head. But on the other side without the special arrow of Karna, Aswasen Nag had not the enough speed and power so he was killed when he tried alone. That entire incident proves, the credit to trapping Arjuna in sure death goes to Karna again. It was the 2nd 100% defeating of Arjuna. - Proved from KMG (Vyas Mahabharata.) Karna Parva -Day 17 - Section LXXXIX & the Gita Press also. 1.C. In between all the general and all celestial weapons of Arjuna were destroyed by Karna, including 2 Brambhastra, those were destroyed by just general arrows of Karna. Although Karn’s chariot wheel was absorbed by the field of war so he was fighting without the advantage of a chariot. At the end of war Arjun was failure to protect himself from Karna’s special wind powered Arrow (Bayabiastra) and he became unconscious then Gandiv was fallen from his hand. Karna watched all, but his great idealism to not to hit or kill a unconscious person- saved Arjun’s life again. Obviously it was the 3rd 100% defeating of Arjuna. Then Karna kept his Bow on the chariot, jumped down and started to lift the wheel of his chariot. Proved from KMG (Vyas Mahabharata.) Karna Parva -Day 17 - Section LXXXIX and the Gita Press also. 1.D After some time Arjun came back from the fainted situation and followed the advice of Krishna to use weapon against weaponless Karna. Krishna told Arjuna very clearly that “ It will not be possible for you to kill or defeat Karna, if Karna hold his Bow again.” So Arjun used weapon on weaponless Karna & who was engaged in completely different work. Arjun’s activity itself proves that Arjun understood that - ‘it was not possible to win on Karna if Karna take Bow again and start fight’, Obviously it was 4rth 100% defeating of Arjuna. His Previous three defeating were physically and this was mentally. Proved from KMG (Vyas Mahabharata.) Karna Parva -Day 17 - Section LXXXIX and the Gita Press also.
