Also in some games Lilamon (a closely related Digimon to Lilymon whom can also become Rosemon) can be digivolved into Lilithmon, so that also connects. So Rosemon and Lilithmon does make sense.

I had this idea before and I would have done Rasielmon(Purity) - Lilithmon(Lust) Rasielmon is an Ophan like Ophanimon which is the opposite of Lilithmon. Plus Rasielmon represents purity by remaining free from evil in its quest for knowledge. Lovelyangemon(Temperance) - Beelzemon(Gluttony) Lovelyangemon is a fighter but it battles only seriously against evil and against others shows great restraint Clavisangemon(Charity) - Barbamon(Greed) Clavisangemon is a protecter that gives everything to protect the Digital World SlashAngemon(Diligence) - Belphemon(Sloth) Slashangemon is a warrior for Justice always giving its effort into combating evil and following its duty Mastemon(Patience) - Demon(Wrath) Mastemon is a tactician that makes plans. And it has a one track mind when having to deal with two conflicting parts. Marineangemon(Kindness) - Levimon(Envy) I like the two being aquatic Digimon. I love your non-7 holy digimon picks (and cherubimon), they fit really well! Although I feel like Ophanimon and Lilithmon have to be opposites to each other unfortunately - Lilithmon is said have been "originally the same kind of digimon as ophanimon", much like Demon and Seraphimon's connection. So personally, my picks would be: Lilithmon | Ophanimon (Motherliness is often associated with chastity, ironic considering how you become a mother in most circumstances, so I feel like it fits?) Beelzemon | ClavisAngemon (Rasielmon could work as being themed around knowledge, but I think ClavisAngemon embodies temperance well, having to restrain the massive amount of power he has) Barbamon | Cherubimon Belphemon | SlashAngemon (I feel like SlashAngemon's sense of justice could be considered diligence? I feel like he fits slightly better than ClavisAngemon) Demon | Seraphimon Lucemon | Rasielmon (I think Rasielmon works well as an inverse to Lucemon as well, although it doesn't have the two halves you mentioned, but I think it works well)

What would you think of using LovelyAngelmon as its another evoultion of the angelwoman line, and it being based on magical girls shows a sense of parity and with how LovelyAngelmon is a close combat fighter it makes her the opposite of Lilithmon more magical fighter style

@@4wheal If you're asking me, I think it's a pretty cool pick outside of the 7 holy digimon for sure. The only downside would be that she doesn't entirely embody "chastity" but you could argue with her corset-like armor and general feminine appearance while distinctly not having any titty showing, alongside the fact that she seems to embody "girlishness" and generally be "untainted by things like lust" in a way (air quotes not direct quotes), that she still fits. She honestly fits better than ophanimon in my opinion, even if that might just be because she gives me very "innocent" vibes, whereas ophanimon is more mature. In general finding a direct contradiction to "lust" in digimon is pretty difficult because even Digimon itself dances around the existence of sexual attraction and sexual deviance despite, yknow, making a whole digimon based off of it lol

I’m not sure if this applies to all branches of Christianity, but I was taught a bit of a different distinction with lust and gluttony. This differs a little bit from a lot of general public’s idea of these sins. Lust is the idea of craving and hoarding the immaterial. Yes, this can include sexuality (ex wanting to cheat, being a general creep, etc), but this also takes other forms. Like someone can crave knowledge (ex. gate keeping, overworking) or someone can crave pain and destruction. Think how FMA represents Lust through bloodlust. In that sense, Sakuyamon Miko Mode is perfect. She’s a guide who works to help others and serve the greater good. I find it ironic that the definition of lust is craving things you can’t touch. It’s basically greed, but instead of materials, it’s for ideas. The standard idea of lust would technically fall under gluttony. It’s the idea of overconsumption, especially to dangerous levels. That can be overeating, unhealthy sex, or reckless drug use. Again, not sure if these definitions fall under all of the branches of Christianity. I know that some have an eighth sin in despair, but I’m not well-versed in that. This is just a long way to say I think your pick for Lillithmon was perfect. (The others were great too, but I don’t have a thesis for them 😅)

Definitely Ophanimon somewhere in here if we have Seraphimon and Cherubimon, there's a stronger case for her being Temperance which also allows her to break from mirroring Lilithmon. I love the theme here of each Virtuous Digimon having an alternate that either is their opposing Demon Lord or is caused by their opposing sin.

You know, with how things are going, I do think new Angelic Digimon are needed. Since it would let the artists be more creative while keeping the design philosophy of what was established. Considering the Demon Lords are antagonistic & pick fights in multiple digital worlds, they could easily have multiple rivals each. Lilithmon is (or is at least believed to be) a fallen Ophanimon, as mentioned in the former's reference entry. Venusmon doesn't work as Chastity, but is a strong counterpart otherwise. Shivamon could be a good rival to Belphemon, as both have incredible destructive powers but very opposite natures. Really, Shivamon could work for all of them to different degrees, but Sloth seems its true enemy. Seraphimon vs. Demon/Creepymon is perfect, no notes. Leviamon's the toughest because he hasn't shown up as much & his few roles have been minor (unless I missed something big). MarineAngemon would be my default pick, but a) not really an angel, and b) Scyllamon's more MarineAngemon's counterpart. Maybe KingWhamon? Beelzemon has Beelstarmon, and possibly the Three Musketeers as a whole. Gallantmon in general is a great pick from the Royal Knights.

I had...not quite these pairs especially as this was a decade ago so Rasielmon didn't exist. But I did have something much like this in a fanfic I made ages ago. But as the Seven Demon Lords were somewhere between redeemed and still on a Sovereigns-authorized trial period, the twist was that the virtues were evil (though then kinda further twist that they weren't but I think Humility was and was manipulating the rest).

Valdurmon is part of that new angel group introduced in 2020 as well. If I was to use that group as counterparts to the demon lords from a strictly visual sense: Leviamon - Valdurmon Lilithmon - Ophanimon Daemon - Seraphimon Barbamon - ClavisAngemon Belphemon - Cherubimon Beelzemon - SlashAngemon Lucemon FM - Meicrackmon with the ability to mode change and Rasielmon to deal with Lucemon when he goes Satan Mode.

I’m a big fan of digimon but I’m an even bigger fan of Demonology. The demon lords have been some of my favorite digimon of all time because each of them, aside from lilithmon, are tied directly to one of the seven princes of Hell in demonology. Maybe if you ever wanted to revisit this topic you could do a custom art video giving us digimon inspired by the archangels. While there is debate about who are canon members some consistent ones are Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel but there are enough from various groups to make seven.

So that one could be its opposite On the sloth one, i would imagine the crest of reliability could be it's opposite. Someone who is reliable in their work would be diligent On the wrath one, You need patience to have hope. That would be it's opposite On the pride one, asking for help from friends takes humility. Friendship would be its opposite crest

I just had a thought... what if there were evil opposites to the Crests? Courage = Fear, Friendship = Enemy, Love = Hate, Sincerity = Falsify (Alternatively Purity = Vulgar), Knowledge = Ignorance, Reliability = Irresponsible (Alternatively this would be Sincerity = Falsify), Hope = Despair, and Light = Dark. Good choices. But I swear I've seen somewhere, maybe a fan thing than an official rival group. The Seven Heavenly Warriors were: Seraphimon, who represented Patience and rivaled the Wrath Sin Daemon Ophanimon, representing Chastity and went up against Lilithmon the Lust Demon. Cherubimon (Virtue) represents Humility and went beast vs beast against Leviamon the sin of Envy. SlashAngemon went up against Beelzemon and his sin of Gluttony, representing the virtue of Temperance. ClavisAngemon, representing the Virtue of Charity, would battle the Greed Demon Lord Barbamon. Anubismon would represent the Virtue of Diligence and is able to go up against the Sloth Belphemon Rage Mode. And lastly there was Mastemon, representing the Virtue of Humility. Why not Bloomlordmon for Leviamon? Bloomlordmon can be a evolution for Jewelbeemon and is know to be a “kind heart” knight. I like the idea of meicoomon as the inverse for Lucemon since it too has darkness in it but can be a real angel if it goes down the right path.

They are the main enemies of the Demon Lords. That's because the Royal Knights serve the "Being of Good" that deleted the Demon Lords to the Dark Area, who put Belphemon's data in a sleep state and who consigned Demon to the Dark Area and against whom he swore revenge by conquering the Digital World. The God against whom Lucemon rebelled against when he refused to delete the fighting instinct from withing the Digicores of Digimon. That being is none other than Yggdrasill.

Man, many evil villain groups in different franchises use the Seven Deadly Sins theme every time. It's Gunvolt 1 and 2 all over again, except in Digimon form. Not that that is a bad thing, but I wish they would use another theme for a group of villains when they do another one. 100% truth, though, I like every single design of the Demon Lord's.

Personally, I prefer Ophanimon against Lilithmon, but a large part of that has to do with a childhood obsession with the juxtaposition of Angewoman and Ladydevimon. Idk it’s just one of those things that never did quite leave me. It’s a thought I’ve come back to every now and then since I was 5 years old .

Aside from disagreeing with the Lillithmon pick (the connection between her and Ophanimon is pretty clear cut), I would love to see each of the Demon Lords get their own holy counterparts. They started this Fallen trend with Lucemon, Seraphimon and Ophanimon (hell, Ophanimon has two with Falldown Mode) but then just... dropped it. Hell, Cherubimon is part of a trio with Seraphi and Ophani, but it just gets...purple Cherubimon. They should all jave counterparts. Give me HolySeadramon or give me death.

You mentioned the crest but didn’t use them when you spoke about purity, Charity (meaning love), or diligence (meaning wisdom or knowledge…if we want to really talk about the heavenly virtues the different set of virtues are really taught as all just the same set using different words or phrasing to mean the same set of virtues the more common wording of the seven virtues are the four cardinal virtues Courage, Justice, Prudence/Wisdom, and Temperance and the Three Central Virtues or Faith, Hope, and Love…..I would argue based on the descriptions of the three Archangel digimon given in Frontier that they would represent justice (Seraphimon), Wisdom (Cherubimon), and Temperance (Ofanimon) and Gallantmon (because Gallant means Brave) would represent Courage….this leaves Faith Hope and Love…for these I would use Hououmon for Love since it is the holder of the Crest of Love, Holydramon for Faith, and finally if we wanted to use a digimon in the patamon line for hope we could us Goddramon

I think the Digimon who can rival the Seven Demon lords would be a mix of the Royal Knights The holy Angels and the Olympus XIi all three group have views on Good and Virtual but are also rivals in how the way it should be and so some of them decide to put their Differences aside to fight against the Demons lords together to uphold good.

I feel like a good video would be trying to understand/explain the digital worlds heiarchy. I don't get why there are so many groups that all apparently run the digital world that don't seem to interact with each other. What exactly do the royal knights do different from the 3 angels, that do different from the sovereigns, that do different from legendary heroes so on and so forth they all seem to be groups made to protect the digital world but there's no cohesion with the groups and that annoys me. At least the Olympos 12 make sense because they live on a different network but the rest exist on yggdrasils server.

Couple things: Mimi’s Japanese crest is ‘purity’ isn’t it? Also, of the deadly sins, gluttony perhaps fits beelzemon probably the least if we think about Tamers. wrath works, anger at his abandonment and failure. Envy, jealousy of the tamers relationship with their partners. Lust, like lusting after the love of his tamer. Gluttony just don’t work though weird choice by digimon

The only Group who fights the Seven Demon Lords the most and is from a lot of Fans considered their Rivals are the Royal Knights. Altough the Royal Knights are unfair because they have more Members and some insane Abilities. Maybe they should get Rivals in a Form of the Opposite of their Sins. I also would like to see some more Lore based Digimon Seasons. Like about certain Groups battle each other and Places like Net Ocean, Witchelny or Ilyiad. Thinking about Opposites Angel Digimon would make the most Sense. And knowing how strict Christian Religion or Mythology can be sometimes it makes even more Sense.

And those insane abillities are counteracted by the fact that the Demon Lords just like the knights are Acausals. Type 1,3 and 5. That type 5 is very important. That's causality transcendence. This means cause and effect cannot affect them. They get type 5 because they were originally high ranking Angel Digimon that lived in the Kernel( the Kernel transcends the Digital World and it's system of causality and operates by its own sets of rules.) The beings of the Kernel cannot be normally interacted with as only Angel Digimon and Royal Knights can go in and out of the Kernel. Alphamon and Magnamon have Causality Manipulation, and Omegamon has Precognition. The only thing they don't have Resistence or Immunity is Law Manipulation aka Jesmon's OS Generics. Lucemon FM easily fought Alphamon,Omegamon,Dukemon,Magnamon,Examon,Ulforceveedramon in Rearise. Satan Mode fought all 13 and was dominating them and they barely made him retreat. Also in Rearise Demon and Barbamon fought Ulforceveedramon,Craniummon,Ulforceveedramon,Magnamon and Noble Pumpmon and even with a 5v2 advantage the Demon Lords were overwhelming the knights. The two Demon Lords barely lost. Leviamon(not even fully awoke) overwhelmed 100% Examon and Seraphimon(Seraphimon fought Examon toe to toe and even managed to overpower and withstand his most powerful attack). Don't forget that Examon is deemed by Alphamon and Omegamon as the strongest knight raw power and battle power wise and half dead he couldn't be restrained by Omegamon,Dukemon,Ulforceveedramon,Magnamon,JESmon. And here at full power and with a peer in strength he struggles with a half awoke Leviamon.

And there was also another Case like this altough i dont remember it too well anymore. But yeah the Powers of the Demon Lords are powerful but Alphamon or was it Omnimon can manipulate Time that it starts from the Beginning of the Fight or something. The Royal Knights have Abilities who seem way too overpowered measured to the Ones the Demon Lord posess.

@@michaelbarrett8141 Again the Demon Lords have ressistence or outright immunity to the abilities of the Royal Knights. They are Acausals. Both Alphamon and Magnamon have Causality Manipulation. Causality Manipulation doesn't work on Type 5 Acausals since cause and effect cannot start on beings like this. Type 4 also gives high resistence. Omegamon has infinite stamina and precognition. The Demon Lords transcend space and time since they are the literal seven deadly sins. Beings that transcend space-time and are also Acausals(acausality type 4 gives resistence to precognition) are not affected by Precognition. The only pain in the ass moves would be the Ulforce and the OS Generics. He totally trampled Ogudomon X Antibody. Ogudomon X having his data structure so closely resembling that of Yggdrasill( The Host Computer not the avatars) gained the Immortal Program. Aka a meta concept that is a physical law of reality in the Digital World wich says that the bearer cannot be hurt or killed. Digimon were literally not created to be able to fight beings at this level. In the first instance he easily trampled 8 X-Antibody Royal Knights and later even Omegamon X, Dukemon X and Alphamon Oryuken fell to him. The power he was oozing was making both the New and Old Digital Worlds collpase to the point Alphamon and Omegamon X had to travel to the Kernel and use their data to stave off the collapse and he could create an infinite amount of Diablomon X. Tho they were weaker than the average Ultimates having that many on you while also fighting a behemoth that cannot be hurt and is very akin in power and existence to literal God who is also collapsing the world around you passively is one hell of a task. Gankoomon tells JESmon X to enter OS Generics. Since this abillity makes him go beyond the laws of the world that would mean the law of nature tied to the Immortal Program would no longer apply to him. If he can just hurt Ogudomon X once that would lead to a contradiction in his Digicore wich would dissable the Immortal Program since this is a thing that shouldn't happen. But he doesn't get to do it since he gets mortally wounded protecting Gankoomon and is literally dying. Gankoomon puts a 2nd X-Antibody in him(the 1st came from him as well) and makes him become JESmon GX. While in OS Generics when hit by Ogudomon X's bladed arms he doesn't even flinch and the arms just bounce off of him doing no damage whatsoever. Take into account that Ogudomon X is so goddamn big that any Royal Knight is an ant to him. He also gives OS Generics to all Royal Knights and the armies of good and evil Digimon and goes beyond the laws of the world nullifying all damage they withstood and bringing them back to full power. With the power of OS Generics they easily slaughter the Diablomon X army. They give him back the power of OS Generics and he brings out Knights Intruder where he becomes the vessel for the 14th Ultimate Battle Blade. A paracausal weapon(it shouldn't exist). With a single swing he cuts Ogudomon X in half and splits him back into the X-Antibody Demon Lords. Aka he killed a nonexistent being( the Demon Lords have nonexistent physiology since they are beings that were erased out of existence).

Easily swap Venusmon for MarineAngemon who is also in the sea? Then it falls apart lol shoehorn Henry and Terriermon to be the opposite of Wrath and Jeri somehow can be pride lol or Ryou if you must
