"" "" "" "" "" " It's a very intime thought. And so I codedswitch back to my mother tongue, US Cowboy English. My first organ teacher when I went away to college at the ripe age of 17.5 was J. J. Keeler. He learned the instrument from Karl Straube at the Leipzig Conservatory during the fatal years 1931-1933. Through Straube's good office "JJ" was able to leave Germany in peace and resume lessons with Sir Ernest Bullock at Westminster Abbey. There he learned what Leipzig could not teach, to wit, hymn playing alla Brit. I was one of maybe 1000 fortunate girls and boyz who learned Music and the Organ from a damned (bloody) well-equipped teacher. My point? A saying of Keeler's we all got to hear at least once: "You listen to all the rest, then you wash your ears out with Bach.". Amiright?? Cheers n bravos🙏❤️, Mark

A masterpiece made visible by a master !! I have been listening to performances of this work for a good while - this is the first one in my opinion which perfectly balances the voices, is completely transparent, is RIGHT ON with the tempo and the touch of an angel level of rubato. A wonderfully subtle registration. I don't believe the work can be performed at any higher level than Ms. Juodelyte did. BRAVO !! ALLE ACHTUNG !!

At one time, only boys and men had the strength and stamina to learn and perform professionally on pipe organs because of the heavy mechanical keys and pedals. When electrification eliminated the male advantage decades passed before girls and women began to try their hands (and feet!) at the pipe organ. However, they have caught up and, in some case, excelled.

Such a refined, soft playing directly dissolves in the soul. It was this magical moment that Bach himself was looking for and finding... After all, it is customary to roar and scream on the organ in order to suppress the listener, just as the organist himself was suppressed in childhood. But a weightless, airy performance is such a rarity that each such success is a real discovery for me! A month ago I discovered this your greatest musical godsend and now I listen to this record every morning. I immediately have the inspiration to get up and go on refining my home organ, which is almost already working. To make every day magical, I look for magical music every morning. But lately I haven’t been looking for anything, I start the day with this recording, and the day turns out to be fabulous. Refined waving of phrases, peaceful tempo, cosmically beautiful and perfectly matched registers, soulful organ itself as soulful organist... I think it woild be better to lead right hand in the beginning on legato, or even legatissimo, then it would envelop the space and be a link connecting the footfall of the bass and middle voice soaring in the sky.

Same! I wanted to hear if the the transcription has somehow managed to "improve" the original by adding a few extra notes. It didn't! All the rich harmonies and virtuosic passages already are present in Bach's original.
