For the people saying this is a copy of glam and gore’s video- she actually mentioned a lot of valuable information that was different from mykie’s video, for example using different utensils to scoop the product from the silicone so you don’t ruin the product, and using a stipling sponge for blood. Also her technique for liquid latex was completely different from mykie’s. I love mykie, but to be honest I actually think this method of layering thin tissue paper and cutting it looks better than mykie’s technique of 2 rolls of cotton. I don’t understand why everyone’s upset that she “copied” her, as if there aren’t a million brown Smokey eye tutorials lol

For removing scar wax, you can use the spatula and like get it under the wax and kind of scrape it off and it will come off on the spatula. It might take more than one swipe if you have a bigger cut/wound though, but it does work really well for getting the wax off.

I'm a year late but so so thankful for this video! I've recently been getting more into doing SFX but am highly allergic to latex and have been seeking good alternatives. This shows me a very good way to use other products, thank you!

@F0RTRAIL that's a strange question? I mean I don't use latex condoms. They make non latex ones, they're just different. Also birth control is a thing

Thanks! This along with the Glam & Gore version was very helpful! I don't like how people are biting your head off for accidentally not crediting Glam & Gore before uploading your video. You're not taking anything away from her video. People need to realize that there are more than 1 sfx artist in the world. Every artist has different tips, tricks, and personalities. I liked both but the lighting for the silicon was better on this video than the glam & Gore one. BUT i liked how glam & gore did the wax more. KZbin and special effects have been around forever. I'm pretty sure if you search the depths of the internet you'll find someone else did a 3 cut sfx tutorial before glam & gore too. People are so sensitive and easily butt-hurt nowadays. CHILL!

Thanks for sharing the disclaimer in the beginning; I found that really responsible, mature and polite. You also provide few safety tips about using scissors or sharp objects + hair protection as well. Keep up the good job! You are really good at make up! where are you based? US? I am from Germany. We are about to shoot a short film, a good one.. and it is just taking for me a lot of time to get my head around this make-up stuff. I wish I could have a talented person like you around to just get things done, instead of me, sitting on internet, trying to get expertise on film-makeup and trying to save the world alone! lol Come say hi if you ever come to Europe, especially Germany ;) i have a thing or two to learn from you. god bless you Karolina.

Scar wax is simmilar to modeling clay. Even if it is left out it will not dry out. If it is cold out it will harden. If its hot it will melt.

if you can't cut the latex, what should I do to get the slice in it (sorry if I said that wrong, English isn't my native language)
@cierrapowers32667 жыл бұрын
I would take tweezers and pull a tiny bit to make a little hole, then tear it with your fingers!
@allysonmackenzie17396 жыл бұрын
Lia Klimansky you would want to start with one side or your cut with a base of latex and an unrolled cotton ball and pull it apart,then do the other side the same then add foundation or a powder your shade or you can just leave it,then later add blood and irritation.If that didn’t help you you should go check out Glam and gores video to get a more throe of a video

I really don't mean to be rude, because I've been a fan for a while now, but I noticed this video is very similar to Glam and Gore's 'How to do basic FX Cuts (3 different ways)' I myself am very guilty of copying or get inspired by other peoples work but I noticed you didn't credit her? as an artist I know how frustrating it is to have similar ideas and have people accuse of copying but I would recommend possibly just a lil shoutout in the description box? I obviously don't know when you filmed this but hers was uploaded a month ago. I really like your prior SFX tutorials and would just love to see you grow in your own unique way and upload original ideas, even if you use similar methods to another youtuber /youtube video, just make it your own. Again, not a hate comment, just some constructive criticism, sending love
