When fasting the body will feed young healthy cells and starve old ones so they die off this is GREATLY enhanced by reading and praying! When you eat again eat nutrient packed super foods you know would be good for young healthy new cells.

For a while now I’ve been feeling like God wants me to fast, I just don’t know how but I started the Daniel fast 2 days ago. I’ve been struggling with infertility for 3 years with my husband, I’m praying for God to bless me in his perfect timing. I’m drawing closer to God, deleted my twitter account(it was very distracting to me and not a good social media to be apart of) worshiping him and reading my Bible daily. I’m praying for deliverance or a break through. I just need him to speak to me and help me🙏🏻🙏🏻!!!

I dont think that having a habit of fasting is bad because you never know what the enemy is planning for your life. Fasting should always be accompanied with prayer ofcourse. It's good to fast and have daily devotions to God. In my devotions, I pray, read the Bible, and sing for God. Fasting once or twice a week is not bad.

High Sky I know a couple who fasted one day a week and spent that day praying for the safety of their kids and that they would grow up in the Lord, and they did ! Fasting is sacrificing to God, dedicating one day or multiple days to him.

@Steven N how do you know if God is calling you to fast once every once a week? I have been doing it and it feels a little frustrating at times because i dont know what i was fasting for at sometimes.. Also, if i refuse to fast once a week, i became guilty, feeling like i was disobedient, and has to make sure to fast next week. Please teach me this thing , i am still a teenager and do ot know this things. How do you know if its your own mindset, force fast, or spirit lead fast? 😓 I really appreciate for an answer.

I agree. I see it the same way as couples do date night. I haven't fasted in forever and it was one with our church. I myself disagree with what she says corporate fasting and this.

I felt that He called me to fast about 3 weeks ago, and I feel like I am just now getting it right, and finally listening to the Holy Spirit. Just trust in Him, and His plans for you. He knows your heart. Just seek Him truly with all your heart. He will correct you in love, and not condemn you, or shame you. "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." I'm trying to learn how to fast. My church always has monthly corporate fasting & prayer meetings, but because of my health, I can't always go without food for a long amount of time. BUT, there were moments when I spent time with God for so long that I didn't even realize that I skipped a meal! lol Well, I want to learn how to fast from other things like social media, technology or other distractions.

I have a testimony. I was bite by a vulture in my dream and I ran to the hospital but no one was helping just looking at me, that told me it was spiritual sickness. So I woke up and back was on fire and I was sick and I did a 1 day dry prayer and fasting ,the following day I was okay like nothing happened. So it's true some spirits can only come out with prayer and fasting.

Most important is What Do You Want? In other words, what are you fasting for today? Make it count. Are you looking for wisdom for a specific decision for example? Are you fasting for the healing of a loved one? Get your intention set and keep putting that out there while you are fasting.

I have been craving to be surrounded by water. The thoughts that have been coming across my mind is to drink only water. Spiritual thoughts towards having a closer relationship with God.
