Wow! I remember when my future husband came into my life and told me "I don't want you to think that im perfect." I did not understand the reasoning behind him stating that. But, the next day God spoke to me 3 times and said "don't expect a man to be perfect." I never realized that he was giving me relationship advice.

let me testify about point #1!!! the SPECIFICITY of the advice God gives goes beyond human wisdom. I could never accurately guess the things God told me, and when they later proved true I just knew. it does feel like God is taking their side!! but ultimately, you know it's worth it. I have never experienced this with anyone else before, nor has this accuracy happened with anyone else after. God has only explained in such detail for one person, so I know what I have to do. thanks for reminding me of this.

Listen!!! My husband and I were at ODDS for a few days and one night I was lying in bed and the Holy Spirit said "Make love to your husband." I was like "God you are tripping I am not doing that!" The Holy Spirit kept talking to me telling me to make love to my husband. I was fighting it with everything in me because I didn't want my husband touching me. Well after a few minutes of arguing with God, I gave in and did what I was told to do! My husband later humbled himself to admit where he was wrong and apologized. Had I not listened to God my husband may have never apologized to me.

Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these will be given to you as well. In my past relationships god wasnt first i realized this was not God's will for me they was not for me. In my next relationship will be God's will the right husband that God ordain for me he knows who is best for me he preparing me put him first no one come before him. Even if it does not contain obscene language and promiscuity, if as you say it is secular music then you definitely should not listen to it. It is a sin. It has beautiful gospel music you can listen to on You Tube instead.

Hey, I don't think it's necessarily a "sin" because where in scripture do we see that? However, let the Holy Spirit guide & convict you, pray and ask "Lord is this ok? What do *You* want me to listen to?" . Some good things to keep in mind: does this music I'm listening to honor God? Even if this one song is ok, does the artist profane God? If Jesus was right next to me, do you think He would enjoy it? If can't fully answer YES then I would stay away from it. "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.' - Philippians 4:8 Personally for me, I can no longer listen to secular music because EVERY TIME I do, whether it be a week, or one month or two, I end up drinking again. And drunkenness is not of God so therefore it's not ok for me to listen to music that stirs that up in me. But I loved that music so much so it took me a long time to be willing to let it go. When God showed me that pattern it became easier. Maybe you don't struggle with drunkenness, but if the music you listen to doesn't stir you up for Him then I would be careful.

read it however you want sis!! The important part is being led by the holy spirit while reading!! I usually read one book from the Old Testament while reading another from New Testament!! I highly recommend James and Job!

That is not a dumb question!! Maybe consider a bible that has a topical index.. whenever you're struggling with a specific thing, the topical index will give you scripture recommendations related to different topics
