Until a " bad actor" steps in burns the forest on purpose in a helicopter. In Canada this may have happened. Just saying...
@TheInevitableHulk3 сағат бұрын
@DavidD03820 someone maliciously burned a forest or used an AI to map out the most effective way to burn a forest?

We've been doing this in Minecraft for years.

Thank goodness there is finally another way to do this!!! I had to do this practically for years, now I can just simulate it.

Honestly, I'm so thankful for all the animals and people this simulation may save. I'll hold my papers close because every once in a while, they mean something.

Fire is part of the forest life, it's been "built" with fire since the dawn of time, without fire, no forest can grow, check it out it's very instructive !
@arcaneminded3 сағат бұрын
What you're saying is only half the picture. The problem with this kind of ignorant statement is that people draw the conclusion that fire management is unneeded or some other likewise nonsense. A lot of us live in semi rural and rural areas in Australia and I'm sure there's people in California in a similar situation. The bush is getting drier and drier thanks to climate change, it makes the fires far more intense and more frequent. At the end of the day, people die in wild fires, homes are lost. There are areas around us that have still not recovered from the 2019 bush fires, where usually we'd expect to see these places recovered in a year.

All the Australians need to do to prevent fires is to hire the Finnish to rake the forests.

If I made something with this it would be a software using GIS world map data and a few other data sets about biomes around the world and what type of plants and animals are there and then use ai to predict the best way to deal with fires and best solutions to prevent fires form happening each specific to its own environment. What a time to be alive

Are they simulating the flow of the wind in the fire sims? I bet if they replicated the wind in the real life experiment the sim would replicate perfectly

But what about pyromaniacs getting this tool?
@GhostofTheWoke3 сағат бұрын
@dgeorgaras4444 i think pyromaniacs should get this tool as its a method to use fire to burn stuff virtually attach this to vr headset and a game built arounf it and we can have the pyromaniacs be pyromaniacs virtually
@GhostofTheWoke3 сағат бұрын
@dgeorgaras4444 also its better if pyromaniacs get this tool as most are not targeting people and mozt pyro victims are not on purpose allota the time by accident as pyros generally are not serial killers so if they have access to this tool you would probably see less pyro deatha as pyros could use this to reduce the harm of being a pyro by simulating there fire to reduce human casualties which for most pyros are unwanted Btw im a pyro i got caught starting forest fires but have never tried to off someone with a fire i have nearly accidentally harmed people with my fires but ive never killed or wanted to
