Try waiting for the animation where Ana is readying the next shot to finish. Once it's done, you can quick scope again.

@Exciva yeah I think the timing with that is definitely my problem. It seems like there's a short bit of time where the animation looks finished, but hasn't actually yet.

The hard part that Karq and other reviewers miss is that in low elo you never feel safe enough to scope because your teammates let people attack the backline constantly. So even in moments you should feel safe to engage it's terrifying. Thanks for sharing your vod. I learned a lot from it.

I dont know why, but ive noticed that people in low elo tend to forget that Ana is a sniper, not because you are a suport that mean that you have to be right next to your teamates. XD

I like how since Ana is KarQ’s main, he has more advice, but is almost much more critical. Nathan, have you ever considered doing an educational unranked to GM on Ana? I’ve been watching Awkward’s Ana and Zen, and my gameplay has improved quite a bit. I typically can’t stand them, but I would watch one if you did it.

As a Console Solo Queue Ana that climb up to High Diamond.. Prioritizing Scoped shot as much as possible will increase your efficiency and effectiveness... I learned this the hard way and kept on practicing flicking unscoped shots... Till it became too unreliable and ended up to me underperforming.. Yes it looks cool and they have their uses but as a support you want consistency and scoped shots gives you that...

20:47 also please don't shoot a teammate with a scoped shot who is in a flanking position. Like if your rein is waiting for them to come around the corner and shatter them from behind, use unscoped shots because that doesn't give away their position because of it leaving no bullet trail. (Quick)scoped shots leave a trail, unscoped leave no trail. Ofcourse if they already know they are there fire away with scoped if it means a better chance of survival:)

Idk about these rules for ana. I hit no scopes all day across the map. Ive gotten so used to her no scope projectile timing i could no scope anyone from anywhere. I only scope in when they need healed faster than a projectile can go, when im killing a flying target, or when im on a choke and need to hit enemies down the choke and allies as well. I could no scope and just hit anything down a choke and be fine but i like to be more effective with hitscan shots cause i think down chokes is where ana shines most. Either way i wouldnt make rules on how to play heroes. If you keep your team alive and help kill when you can, nano correctly, and sleep offensively and defensively to survive and secure important kills you are doing your job. I hate when ppl try to place hero play styles in boxes. The fact that you focus so hard on this scope thing shows you dont know much about ana if you just talk about this all game. Youd have just said what you prefer and moved on. Not made it a rule and repeat it all game. What you are saying about taking space yes that is very useful. Nano targets yeah that could be helpful. Ppl should be doing this. The scope talking is just nonsense and every time you go back to it i just think "man hes talking about scoping again???? Is this all he can contribute? His personal preference spoken as a fact over and over?" I think i ripped my face off after the 20th time i heard it.

Gm4 Ana Main support with 75 hours on her (maintained a 4100 elo in ow1 for 3 years before I stopped playing in 2021) All power to you for playing that playstyle but there's thing that needs to be addressed: Firstly: Kar Q is a top 50 support Ana Main and has been consistently top 500 for years. He has more knowledge on this character than you by 5x so to say you KNOW he doesn't know much about the character is laughable, him and widely considered the best ranked Ana ML7 plus OWL Ana players are scoped in as much as they can for medium and long ranged encounters. Please keep your smug "I 'mastered' this character so I know more about her than you" ego in check. Dont try to even deny you have that because your last few sentences straight up heavily implies it Secondly: Blizzard literally designed Ana to play like this, yes there's different playstyles outside the one blizzard intends but that doesn't mean it's ALWAYS more viable and effective the playstyle you advocate for is the hardest to master while giving nearly zero benefits over the other except constant movement, which as Kar q and literally every other top 500 and pro Ana players show you can do while maintaing a scoped playstyle Thirdly: You can play however you want but every hero has De facto playstyles that are the most effective one possible for ranking up and how Kar Q describes how to play Ana aligns with how nearly every top level Ana plays making it the De facto playstyle for her so that's what will be taught whether you like it or not
