Can someone give suggestion to these shops.... A shop can make a collection centre... if an Indian orders anything from Pakistan online 24 hour before arriving, the shop can arrange that thing and keep it there for 10% extra (service charge). This will be a great service to the Indian people who want to buy anything from Pakistan but cannot go outside Kartarpura corridor. Regular shops can also make extended catalogue and put it online and mention that these items are only available for pre-order. This woman is not a Sikh. She does not even know the basics of Sikhism. Sikh marriages are always held in the day, never at night. Sikhism is monotheistic religion, does not believe in idol worship, no belief in fire, evil spirits Bhoot prait etc, Sikhs believe in “Ik Onkaar”. Basically the concept of “Ik” meaning “One” sums up a lot of beliefs in Sikhism. All humans are one, meaning equal. Women and men are (one) given equality, both can be priests or granthis. Anyone from the community, man or woman, can become a priest. But priests are not given any special or higher status or power than the rest of community. There is no belief in caste/varna system where some people are irredeemably condemned to the lower caste by birth (for no fault of their own). Women are not considered impure or banned from entering the Gurdwara during their menstrual period . Sati is banned and not eulogized like Sati savitri. There is no concept of Agni Pariksha for a woman to prove her virginity and the woman does not touch her husband’s feet. Sikhs believe in the one God who is the Creator of all the Devis and Devtaas. Sikhs pray to the Creator himself and not His Creations. Sikhs have utmost respect for other religions and believe that we are all made by the same one God but we may choose to call God by different names. A Sikh will never disrespect any other religion. I was just pointing out some of the differences between Sikhism and Hinduism so people don’t conflate the two. The Gurus said if you are Hindu be a good Hindu, if you are Muslim be a good Muslim. Please pardon me if I inadvertently offended anyone.
