Kartik answered so smartly without even dragging Sara into it. His pause actually was an answer in itself! He didn’t deny dating Sara. He just said he doesn’t want to discuss about it & he won’t answer! He was pretty serious while talking. Because from what I’ve known him he would never make a joke of his relationship. And they kind of hinted at their relationship several times by walking red carpet and other events together, the controversial AIB thing where many people publicly made jokes on them, etc. What Karthik and his super aggressive PR is doing everyday is a shameless ridiculous super irritating circus and media is just over-indulging them now like little babies. He never clearly said Ananya is just a friend and he never dated her until she clarified that they only hang out as friends. The only time he honestly spoke about his personal life was once in an old interview before Sonu's success where he admitted honestly and clearly "I am in a relationship but don't want to elaborate on that." That girl was a model who was spotted with him a few times publicly but she wasn't exciting enough for gossip hungry media so their relationship and breakup went unnoticed. After that, everything about him has become "like a desperate monkey jumping around in a zoo or circus hungry for attention". Don't know how else to describe it.
