Maestro Edge gets a newly developed 110.9cc, single cylinder engine from Hero. The new engine produces 8.31 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 8.3 NM @ 6,500 rpm. The gearbox stays automatic). The performance of this engine would be soon tested, revealing the actual comparative values for the Maestro Edge.
Brakes & Suspension:-
The scooter comes with 130 mm of drum brakes for both the wheels. The integrated braking system on the Maestro Edge makes it safe by applying both the brakes by pressing a single brake lever. The front suspension is telescopic forks whereas the rear is a single hydraulic shock absorber. The front wheel measures 12 inch whereas the rear gets a 10 inch wheel.
Comfort & Safety:-
The newcomer gets a longer 1261 mm of wheelbase, making it more spacious under the seat as well as above the seat. The ground clearance of 155 mm makes it better than its competitors and saves the under-body from many unwanted damages. The scooter gets a mobile charging option for keeping the phone ready for emergency times. The first in class feature of under-seat luggage lamp makes the scooter a useful part of daily life. Maestro Edge comes with a next generation immobilizer for safety while you are away from your ride. The service reminder inside its instrument console makes it more convenient than ever.

Our recent story on Hero MotoCorp silently recalling the Maestro Edge and Duet scooters for crankshaft issues (HERE) was called “factually incorrect” and “unsubstantiated” by the company. Through its PR firm, the world’s largest 2-wheeler manufacturer got in touch with us on Sunday night to deny the story, calling it “damaging the reputation of a company”. They went ahead with an email, asking us to remove the aforementioned article with immediate effect. An email at 2:30 AM states - ‘Hero MotoCorp hasn’t recalled any of its products from the market due to any technical issues.’ So here is proof of the company instructing dealers to change parts on the Maestro Edge and Duet scooters manufactured till September 2016. Hero Maestro Edge Recall Hero instructed dealers to replace parts but made no communication to customers Hero Duet Recall The four parts were sent as a kit to be replaced on the scooters As per our sources, Hero issued a recall memo asking dealers to replace four parts which were sent as a kit. The four parts are - Crankshaft, CDI, Flywheel and Face Comp Drive. The change of parts was done in the pretext of service. No recall was announced by the company and the change of parts was done silently. All the four parts were changed on both the Maestro Edge and Duet scooters. Additionally, the carburetor on the Maestro Edge was also replaced due to poor quality of packing material, leading to leakage causing idling issues. The new carburetor was also of sub-standard quality of packing material and was thus recalled again. Owners of the Maestro Edge and Duet are an unhappy lot, a quick Google search of ‘Maestro Edge starting problem’ or ‘Hero Duet starting problem’ throws up a lot of complaints. Customers have been abusing dealers right, left and center for the issues faced by them. However, Hero still hasn’t issued an official recall for these scooters.

sushil pai Honda is best because Honda is durable and trustable. Honda activas body is strong and it last long . but in case if tvs Jupiter . tvs Jupiter engine is worst . and Jupiter have petrol leakage problem

Yes activa without any doubt has the best engine......but I disagree about the durability of steel body.....it starts getting rusty with in 1 year especially where we rest our foot under the mat and also the mudguard......if you want to replace the mudguard or any steel body of activa you will get the original one without painting on it & you have to paint it at the local paint shop.....I owned a activa 2g and I faced such problems.....totally agree abt TVS Jupiter

sushil pai u r wrong thats we are applying teflon coating in activa . Teflon coating prevents rust for long time. Teflon coating charges only 500 rupees.
