One thing I didn’t say in the video that I was thinking while driving, I know I suck but I think a kart would have a bit more grip? Just seemed to always slide so easily no matter what I did. Other than that, I had fun

look real life videos of x30, you got to tame your speed and be more softer on how much you turn your wheel, smooth movements is key, and your breaking should me much more snappy with x30 cart and fast, and you can also tune the cart for the brakes to be less strong so you dont lock up

I race jarts nationally, I personally don't like kart kraft because of that reason. Real karting is like no grip on the first 2 laps until you get ur tyres warm then you have full grip, try kart sim on r factor 2 that gives you the best simulator karting experience

I race karts like this irl and a wanted to give you some tips, it's really important to be smooth on the wheels, it looks like you are fighting the kart a lot where you want it to be flowing nicely. Try to to brake and turn at the same time, if u get the kart slowed before turn then you can power though the turn. I love you content keep up the awesome work

I know im quite late but have you tried KartKraft? I would like to know if the kart behaviour is actually similiar to real life, maybe if it could be used as practice for real life karting? (i do simracing already, would like to somehow transition into real life karting since on sim im about 1.5sec off the top top guys and i feel like maybe KartKraft would be a good way of getting into the driving style of a kart)

I raced karts half my life, back in the glory days of 100CC Formula A. The thing with karting, which is helpful to understand is the way the chassis actually works. It’s NOT like a car, in a car you have a differential, so, when you turn, the outside wheel can go faster than the inside wheel. You don’t have that in go-kart, here you have a single rear axel for both sides, so, what happens is both rear wheels making contact with the tarmac will inevitably under steer as the rear tires will dominate. The whole trick is (via setup and driving) to force a “differential effect” by having the inside rear tire to “Jack up” on entry to a corner, so, the tire actually lifts up, this will free up the rear and allow for the fronts to turn in and “rotate”. Now, once it’s “jacking up” it is very important to accelerate very early, as this will get the outside “contact” tire to drive around the inside tire. This is how come you can drive them with very little steering input. If you don’t accelerate you will oversteer, accelerate too late and your chassis will hop and lose speed. There’s many ways to help the tire to Jack up, but, that’s a long conversation lol. But now you can understand the physics of the chassis, hopefully it helps understand a bit of the driving style. It’s imperative to accelerate early, I’m not sure how or if the game simulates track rubbers in, but, this effect is multiplied with a rubber red in track, which gets very insane. I would love to try this game, the physics look spectacular.

From my experience in X30 for a year and a half, the karts are kinda unrealistic. For example the brakes aren’t that sensitive on modern karts. The 2014 Birel I drove the the brakes were super sensitive but still not like Kartkraft. The karts also feel too loose. Also X30 in the states is the top class when it comes to popularity. Kart Racing Pro imo is more realistic to how a kart drives.

hey, European karter here. not gona lie, im very impressed by the fact that on PFI (the last track) you consistently drove over the curb in the last chicane (the left). thats the line you have to take and you automaticly took it. good feeling for where you should go. the fact that your arms hurt after 2 laps is already great realism to racing karts. With racing karts your always on the edge of sliding, if you have to much grip its terrible slow and not good on tyres. breaking in a direct is tricky cause they only have rear breaks that are basicly like a handbreak. so the goal is to lock them in the very first moment and then modulate it so they dont lock. and turning is also not helpful while breaking. Turning is a little weird imo in the SIM here compared to reallife, but I believe thats down to that in real life you feel the kart pick up on the rearinside, you feel the grip and therefore you know how hard or smooth your stearing has to be depending on conditions, setup and tyres. For the first time you did well imo. you had some good moves. btw if your ever interested in karting. I suggest you Ryan Norberg a American Prokarter. he has a great KZbin channel.

Never played KK, but, real karts... Unlike most race cars, they. have a locked rear axle. They do not want to turn, especially if you are on the throttle. By turning the steering wheel, you are forcing the inside rear wheel to lift off the ground. That forced the kart to lift the inside rear wheel and let the kart turn, but it's a workout for your arms. I am not sure about the game, but you can lower tire pressure to possibly get more grip. This will make the kart slower, so a smooth driving style is a must. Also, you only have a single rear brake on the rear axle. Too much brake and it will skid and spin in the turn. Practice doing your braking before the turns. Have fun!

The steering is heavy cause the steering of a kart is uhm... direct I'd say, you suppose to do little, smooth inputs and the don''t hold down the brakes for too long since you'll instantly spin out. Idk if the braking thing is realistic or not, but i have been playing KartKraft since its early access days so yeah I know for a fact that it works like this in this sim. (At first it was strange to me too I needed to get use to it.) Plus... okay, it's just a personal opinion, but the Praga is not really stable, I'd recommend driving the CRG instead. Oh and of course a good custom setup helps a lot in regards of stability and it could improve lap times as well.

Started racing Karts at 8 years old, raced for about 15 years total. 100cc Sprints, 100cc and 135cc enduros, 125cc Shifter Karts. No, KartKraft does not simulate actual racing kart physics in my opinion. Real life karts do not oversteer at all, like the karts in KartKraft do. You're pretty much hooked up our you're not. At the top level of competition, you're right on the edge of tire adhesion, so you're either hooked up, or you're looping it. Similar to F1 and Indy Cars. If Kartkraft did a good job of simulating real racing karts, it would be my first choice when it comes to a racing sim. If you want a good representation of what at least a real life 125CC shifter kart drives like, the SR8 Radicals in Iracing are about as close as you'll get. especially on the shorter twisty turny tracks with elevation changes. Make sure you turn down all the cockpit shaking and head movement settings though, otherwise it won't give you the full effect of a kart would drive like.

It's accuracy is going to be heavily dependent on the kart and track. I raced from 1994 to 2002. KartKraft, from what I've seen, would be no where near accurate for what I raced, which was a sprint kart with modified 5HP Briggs and Stratton on a dirt short track.
