How did this game feel compared to the crazyracing kr (korean pc client) and/or rush+

The nitro charge rate and overall speed in CBT3 was slow. It made the game feel harder than the original PC game, especially since the maps were mostly item maps. New graphics are amazing but don't give off the same cutesy vibe I get from original game or rush. Rush+ is much more friendly for the casual with the introduction of s-charge mechanic and the fact that is on mobile brings a much bigger audience. With the current state of Drift, I would very much rather play Rush+ since it is easy mode, or the original PC game with actual maps and real speed.

what do you mean? are you not able to connect to the game at all? make sure you downloaded "KartRider: Drift" and not the beta if you're using steam.

The thing where you have to drift on a straight to build boost really puts me off the game. It seems so contrived and unnatural!

This video is from closed beta 3 where the nitro charge rate and speeds are much slower than what is ideal, making it very difficult to play as a beginner. It required players to perform the new cut way more than normal. I agree it is frustrating and unnatural when it has to be performed this often, but otherwise after some practice it's not that weird. During the beta before this video, I could not execute it at all! I'm sure they will adjust the speeds and nitro charge rate on release. The video also features a lot of item maps, as there weren't many maps in the beta, and item maps aren't intended for speed mode. If I remember correctly, the new cut technique was actually discovered late in the original game and considered a bug. But because it became such a core aspect of gameplay, they kept it.

I grew up playing Mario Kart on DS then Mario Kart 7 on 3DS and let me tell you this feels like easier more simple Mario Kart

I loved Mario Kart DS, but snaking in that game is simple and has a low skill ceiling in comparison to KartRider. There are a lot more finer details to perfect in KartRider and kart fighting is also a huge part of the game, making pvp much more competitive and enjoyable to watch. There's a reason why KartRider is the largest kart racing esport. Unless you're basing your claim off just viewing this video, I find your statement wildly absurd. The current speeds in the game are slow and the majority of the player base can't drive properly yet (myself included).
