I'm honestly expecting some sort of rift between the Maritime Republics (Venice and Genoa) and the rest of the Italian states. The rest got independent from being colonies, Venice and Genoa had colonies, so I wouldn't be surprised if when they start losing against the Spanish and Greeks Naples or someone else is like "You oppressed those people and now you got us into a losing war, why would we help you?" Since those who got independent from the HRE have no quarrels with the Greeks nor the Spanish and Naples and Sardinia have no beef with the Greeks
