I've currently got 9 or 10 pens inked and 3 are Esties. They're just such great pens, so I just keep inking them and loving them. Mine are Winter White, Sugar Rush (from the Dutch Pen Show) and Frontier Green (from the Gold Rush collection).

The Taccia Ume Murasaki ink is especially striking to me. Its name is interesting too. Ume is Japanese for plum, the little ones they pickle- they are sour!-and murasaki means the color purple. Murasaki Shikibu, (aka Lady Murasaki, but that was a descriptive name; her real identity is not known for certain) was also arguably the first novelist in the world. She was a lady-in-waiting in the emperor’s court during the famous Heian period and wrote The Tale of Genji between about 1000-1012 AD.

I love watching your currently inked videos. I'm new to fountain pens and I'm learning a lot watching so many content creators. Where did you get your Pilot kakuno? It is so pretty and I've never seen one that looks like yours.

I'm pretty sure that she decorated it (or bought a decorated kokuno) -I'm currently experimenting with decorating different material pen bodies with enamel paint and flexible vinyl (cricut) film, and trying to not have to completely reinvent the wheel... REALLY wish @KarynaLovesToPlan would've told us more about her Kakuno body!

The Pilot Kakuno was done by garagefountainpen on Instagram. Not sure if he does any more commissions, but he posts pens he's done work on pretty regularly.

It may be the lighting or camera or viewing settings, but it does look like a dark pink brown when I write with it.
