I’ve been following these DJs since last year when I discovered their song Alive. Saw them just over the weekend with deadmau5, Nero, and Lupa. Kasablanca was easily the best set played that night. I was upset that they put kasablanca 2nd as an opener. They deserved a bigger crowd to hear their music (should have been right before Deadmau5 imo). I get deadmau5 is The main event so of course “save the best for last”. But kasablanca’s set blew all the other DJs and i considered them the best. I hope Kasablanca continues to rise and get what they deserved. I’m glad they were able to be on the main stage at EDC 2022 (I wasn’t there for that but I’m glad they were there!”

@@g33koftech lm not trying to sound elitist with music I grew up with trance from the 90s and such stopped in about 07 with the sound changed.. then I got picky on djs cause everyone sounded the same there just wasn't imo Quality talent anymore... my homie took me to see deadmou5 cause I was just like sure it's a show... and kasablanca was a different level of proghouse brought me back to remember kraftwerk and sasha and digweed style I won't knock this group I support them I buy there music and mix there stuff I love there art of music

@@mattgcar84 I’m a DJ myself. I also grew up with the same and similar music just like you. My taste and music has changed over time. Trance and some techno (which I wasn’t aware of) were my go to. I was big on DDR back in the days too so euro trance, J trance, etc. we’re up my alley. It wasn’t until the last 5 years I really started to take off with techno, then branched Into other cousins such as progressive house and melodic techno/house, dark/hard techno. Eventually I started to mix the music for parties and they were so fun and enjoyable to listen to! Digweed and Sasha are absolutely amazing so I think our tastes are similar! Kasablanca is of their own genre of progressive house, so far I’ve nicknamed this genre retro progressive house (progressive house with the retro sound effects). At the end of the day, our opinions are subjective to what we think is “better”. Deadmau5 was pretty cool back then, but I’ve grown away from his music. You don’t sound like an elitist, you have your own taste of music and that’s the beauty of everyone loving and enjoying their own type of music.
