Kasambwe Brothers at Sounds of Malawi

The Kasambwe Brothers started singing as children, performing in the streets of Ndirande township in Blantyre, Malawi. MBC radio noticed them and recorded their music, which got lots of airplay 20 years ago. The brothers have kept on playing music until today, mostly now in local bars in Blantyre townships, using instruments they make themselves. At Sounds of Malawi Acoustic Session at Jacaranda Cultural Center, their one-hour set impressed the audience. These musicians need recognition and the chance to perform in proper venues. Let's spread the word about the Kasambwe Brothers!
