Ok, let me see, I think as they have many varied songs I'll go one live, rocky, fast, energy fuelled one, which should have you bouncing which you'll find under Oils on Water - 16. Stand In Line - Midnight Oil. It's from a dvd so you can stop when the song ends as the last minute of the video is just credits from the dvd. I am loving watching you going down the Kasey Chambers rabbit hole. I have been a fan of hers since the Captain, but love that so many new people are getting exposed to her because of the Eminem cover. She really deserves a lot more recognition in the US. Doing the Captain next makes sense and a lot of people are saying the best version is the Paste Studios one, so that's probably a good one. My favorite song of Kasey's is Nullarbor Song. It is sort of her origin story and tells of living in the outback and having to leave. It is heart-breaking, but also haunting and beautiful. Excerpt from an interview in 2018: The Australian singer-songwriter was adamant about "Ain't No Little Girl" being the first single from her 11th album, Dragonfly. "It's the first song in my life I truly feel 'wrote me' rather than me writing it," Kasey Chambers explained in her 2017 Songfacts interview. "I wrote it a few years back and never connected to it much because I honestly felt like I wasn't strong enough personally or vocally to really 'own it.'" Chambers went on to express how vocal surgery changed her. "I grew into the song throughout a lot of personal growth and after vocal surgery having two nodules removed from my vocal chords, I found a new strength and power within myself as a singer and a woman," she said. "It became a theme to new life, and I feel is the most important song I've ever written. It is the glue that holds the whole album together, and my life!" Chambers revealed to The Australian that the powerful track can be quite fragile as well. "It's not all strong, though," she said. "In the verses there are really vulnerable moments where I feel like I could cry, but it's always overpowered by strength in the chorus. And that's what it's about. That's me.'"

Kasey actually wrote this song a few years before she recorded it, but it took until 2016/17 before she felt strong enough to tackle it; she states that this song is " an answer to the question posed by her 2001 number one hit song Not Pretty Enough".

Captain is Kasey’s first international hit in some regards. It was the featured closing song in an episode of The Sopranos about 20 years ago. That’s how long she’s been kicking ass. The in studio version with just her and her guitarist is a very cool rendition.

I may have suggested this previously but Matt Corby" brother" triple J like a version ,would be an equal comparison to Kasey but as a male version he has awesome story telling and exceptional talent.
