Zoji La means “mountain pass of blizzards”
Zoji la , Situated at an altitude of 3,490 m, Zeropoint is the point where the snow never melts. Even in the peak of summer, the snow at Zeropoint remains frozen.
The pass links Leh and Srinagar and provides an important link between Union Territories of Ladakh and Kashmir. Zoji la is known as the “Mountain Pass of Blizzards”. Zojila pass remains closed during winters due to heavy snowfall, cutting off Ladakh region from Kashmir.
It is considered one of the riskiest passes in this area. The long and winding road offers a hell of an experience that challenges you and puts your riding skills to the test. The pass overlooks snow-covered summits and a dense strip of jungles.
Zoji La (Pass)-It is in the Zaskar range of Jammu & Kashmir. The road route from Srinagar to Leh goes through this pass. It has been created by the Indus River.
