Right now the weather is dry and it's very hard to forecast for 15th January. But yes in last week of january there is possibility of heavy snowfall.

Shops are closed on Sunday. However there is a special Sunday market amount polo view (near Lal Chowk) if you want buy cheapest stuff around.

Yes there is very little snow left and it's only at higher reaches like gondola phase 2nd and Bootapathri, zero point sonmarg. There has been only little snowfall from past 20 days.

J&K Government has announced that they will keep sonmarg open this winter. Kashmir has not seen any heavy snowfall yet this season. It will depend on the snowfall in February whether it gets closed or not.

@@ArpitAgarwal It will depend on the temperature of the day if it's -5 to -8 degrees. You won't see the whole lake frozen it's very big lake normally it's frozen from the side areas.

There is no snow on the trees at 2:17 but then when you take us near gondola entrance suddenly the trees are completely snow covered 3:05. Please don't spread false information to tourists

@@lime-lookinmyeyes3379 I am a local live 30 kms far from gulmarg. We shoot video every last week of a month. So what lies do we spread? For you it's a tourist destination but for me it's my postal address. Can't a video be shot in 2-3 days or a week? I would like to hear back from you.
