I feel like the Kashmir willow has not been marketed properly to the cricketing world. I am speaking more of the beginners than professionals. It is true that English willow is lighter when compared to a bat that is of comparable quality Kashmir willow. What that means is that the English willow bat has a better "ping" resulting in better bat speed and ping off the bat. But, for the kids or beginners starting their cricketing career, a high quality Kashmir willow bat (because of its weight and lower ping) would be more preferable than an English willow. And, once they hone their skills with a Kashmir willow bat, they can then switch to a more lighter English willow bat.
