Hi Mate all the way from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 I just bought some KASPA from coinspot exchange and moved it to my cold storage Tangem wallet but still hasn't transfered yet, you reckon its got something ti do with dust wallet ? Or is my fund gone ? It used to to come straight away ? Or I have to update my kaspa node first to get my tokens back ?

Hello it could be the exchange has very high confirmation times currently or the dust attack is the issue for now. Nodes did shut down completely and are rebooting.

If you just hold KASPA on the KDX desktop wallet but don’t operate a node do you need to do the update to be able to access the network and the KASPA on the wallet or no?

You always need the node to be synced 100% to run the wallet. So if you don’t do the update you could allow the spam to go through since it’ll be running but if it’s only to access the funds and then close it again you don’t gotta worry

i patched mine and now KDX won't load. it never syncs 100% and crashes my system. I installed KDX on a different computer and synced 100% on the old version. I recovered my wallet using my seed phrase but i'm only showing 300 kaspa that i've made in the last 2 days. I had 28,000 kaspa in my wallet and now it's missing. any advice?

Probably the node isn’t syncing fully. You can put the seed phrase of kdx into kaspium to see if it will show the full balance there. Also when you patch it it does take a while to sync 100% try to check advance settings and see what it’s saying. It took me a few tries.

thanx for the video. VERY new to mining (super noob!!). i just mine via a pool to a kaspa wallet (NOT the kaspa desktop wallet). I never downloaded the kdx software, i.e . i don't do GPU mining. would this be applicable to me or no. I think no, but admittedly i get lost in much of the vocabulary of all this. thanks so much for the info.

No because you use a pool so it’ll be the pool who needs to update their node. You should be good.

If you have a decent computer it should be able to run kdx. You also need a good amount of storage like around 20GB

I have checked and it’s there but I highly recommend using another wallet. The web wallet is just a website and websites are the least reliable when it comes to ensuring you always have access.
