MY OPINION ON KASPER SCHMEICHEL TO CELTIC! 🇩🇰🍀 Kasper Schmeichel is set to sign for Celtic on a 12 month deal with Celtic having the option of a further 12 months. What a signing this is. I’ve seen SO MANY Celtic fans saying he’s too old and it’s not a good signing. To those people I say you are absolutely f*cking CLUELESS. My first point to that mindset is that they clearly haven’t looked at his match ratings for Anderlecht last season. Last season Kasper Schmeichel’s match ratings were not only very good for Anderlecht, but HUGELY consistent as well! Bearing in mind Belgian football is far more competitive than Scottish football and Anderlecht are not one of the best teams these days! Secondly he’s still the Danish No.1! Kasper Schmeichel just played all four games for Denmark at the Euro’s and his best performance even came against Germany in the knockout stages. The pedigree, the experience and the leadership that man has is exactly what is needed at Celtic. Lastly, the same people who are saying they don’t want Kasper Schmeichel are probably the same people crying out for Cekir from Trabzonspor. Cekir has never played for any other club than Trabzonspor in Turkish football. They will demand a massive fee in the region of £8M for Cekir! Given how impressive Barkas was in Greece before paying £5M for him, what’s to say Cekir will be any better? With Kasper Schmeichel you are getting GUARANTEED instant quality and experience. No risks. Personally I am absolutely DELIGHTED with this signing and think anybody who says Kasper Schmeichel isn’t qualified for Celtic anymore is absolutely clueless. I’m the absolute FIRST person to slander Celtic’s transfer business, but people saying this is a shocking signing need to get a grip! The man’s just played all four games as Denmark’s No.1, he’s experienced at virtually the highest level and he’s instant quality. Not to mention he is a FREE transfer!
