To avoid waiting in the queue to the ticket office in Kuznice, tickets for the Kasprowy Wierch cable car can be purchased in advance on-line - www.sklep.pkl.pl/en/
The cable car trip to Mount Kasprowy (1987 m asl) takes approximately 10 minutes and takes place in two stages with a change in Myślenickie Turnie (1325 m asl).
Guaranteed time of stay at Mount Kasprowy for those with return tickets is 1 h 40 min, the departure time is specified on the ticket. The ticket is valid all day but only at the mentioned departure time one can get to the return cable car without queuing.
BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE CABLE CAR RIDE TO THE MOUNT KASPROWY:
The cable car trip to Mount Kasprowy (1987 m asl) takes approximately 15 minutes and takes place in two stages with a change in Myślenickie Turnie (1325 m asl). Once you reach the very peak of the mountain, should the weather permit, we strongly recommend the climb to meteorological observatory, which is in fact the highest situated building in Poland. We can then suggest a descent to Cicha Valley Pass to admire the breathtaking panorama of the High Tatras over the Slovakian side. We suggest completing the trip at the terrace by the restaurant overlooking the peaks of the Polish High Tatra mountains and the whole of Podhale region. To get to the Kasprowy Wierch cable car station you have to get to Kuznice - the upper part of Zakopane. The road from the John Paul II Roundabout is closed for private cars. One can easily get there by the public minibus or by taxi. The approximately cost of the taxi transfer from the centre of Zakopane to Kuznice is 5-6 Euro.

Tatra Mountains are so spectacular. Everything looked amazing despite a few clouds obstructing some of the views. You even got to do a bit of hiking. That's a perfect, easy hike with the kids. The weather is definitely unpredictable in the high mountains so packing layers is always a good idea. Oh, and there is no such thing as it being too cold for icecream in Poland. Poles love icecream all year long. 😄 It looks like you had a fantastic birthday trip!

Btw, when you come back in the sumer you can do many easy valley hikes, such as Chochołowska Valley (recommended in the spring to experiencea a carpet of beautiful purple pink krokus flowers, symbolizing spring. You have to monitor the local news to see when the flowers are in bloom), Kościeliska Valley and Białego Valley. Also, the hike to Morskie Oko Lake is easy, although somewhat long.

Really enjoyed watching your vlog from your excursion to Kasprowy Wierch. I used to walk there many times. There is a spectacular walking route to Dolina Gasienicowa that is downhill from the mountain and a nice walk to the lake down there from where you can enjoy fantastic views of high rocky part of Tatra Mountains. I am envious..😇 I highly recommend a trip to Morskie Oko lake. The views are spectacular

The cable chair is free of cost. But you need consider the time it takes to complete the chair car trip and needs to buy the ticket for the whole journey for that particular duration..
