Sometimes you hear two seconds of a song and you know you have found a new band to like. This happened here.

The 2 million KEXP channel subs that haven’t yet listened to this really ought to. Even if they think they’re not fans of the genre(s) this act falls under , well worth a minute . just to be certain-sure there’s nothing here for them.

I like how the pieces come together here. I was sold by the 3rd song with the keys and guitar frolics. By the 4th song it's a done deal. Her voice feels like a primary color. It's great to see a musician's authentic smile because she loves the sound being made. Nice work. I love the balance of sounds and notes.

In the world of music, it's sometimes considered gauche to refer to the beauty of the artist, as if that mitigates talent. - But music is an art .. it appeals to the spirit .. the right brain .. and it paints pictures with sound. But it's a picture, none the less. Watching Kassi perform I feel such deep musical impact .. while simultaneously falling into her charm. -- I just found her an hour or so ago. And I feel like a found a new star on the horizon.

Holy smokes - Kassi Valazza is one mighty fine talent. It is a privilege and a pleasure to listen to her mutllti-layered songs and look forwards to purchasing all she has released. This is a talent that is just gonna get better and better, like a fine whiskey.

Every once in a while KZbin sends me a notification on a band I've never heard of. Sometimes I'll listen, most of the time I won't. But I'm forever grateful that I went with the former on this one. Over 31 minutes of bliss⟵(*❛‿❛) And I loved every second of it.

Same. I would listen to everything I'm subscribed to, or recommended, if I had the time. At least once. But I almost always skip or save to a "Music for Later" -type playlist. So glad this one came up on that playlists' shuffle.

There's never been a better time to be alive if you love music. If you use it to soothe or excite your soul. So long as one is willing to look for it! This no matter your genre, style, speed, and sound preferences.

This music is perfect, a very spiritual experience. I was kind of annoyed that the host says he ranked her album number three. You telling me there's something better than this? Yeah, I don't think so. Very talented, I hope her and her band go far! The fact that she is a gorgeous redhead is an added bonus 😉

I need a full run down of the synth sounds the keyboardist is using. It sounds so good with this. It almost gives off pedal steel vibes during some songs but also sounds like string and wind synth. Good stuff. I'm really into guitar pedals but I'm just now learning about keyboard/synth effects despite playing piano for like 15 years

I've become a big fan of Kassi Valazza as a singer and songwriter but I have two criticisms about things that appear in a lot of her videos. First is the amount of reverb. It's too much and makes her sound like she's singing from the bottom of a well. The second is the mismatch between her vocals and this guitarist's choices with his accompaniment. I think her mic level in this video is too low and the electric guitar accompaniment too forward. Her bass player and drummer are great. I'm not a Troll and just someone who did some recording work with bands a long time ago and giving some constructive criticism.

@lisacolbert59872 жыл бұрын
I know , it’s really distracting . And it was clearly distracting for Kassi as well . I love it when Cheryl Waters interviews/hosts shows , though. Maybe if they used a mic less “hot” or? That didn’t pick up everything ? Another KEXP show , an older one , with Aldous Harding was equally as awkward. Dude was either horribly nervous or something else embarrassing and awkward .
