He is fighting for someone, trying to to reach out for them so that they follow them out of the darkness, they like to stay there, it seems like an easier choice. But he is not willing to give up hence why "For you, will I! I will fight the darkness.". "I can imagine what it feels like." He understands how the other person feels. "It's appearing." As it is becoming more apparent and more difficult in everyday life. "But most of your heart is set in stone." The person they are singing about has made up their mind about the darkness. But notice that he uses "most", there is a glimmer of hope. "A prison of your own sense of being." The person they are singing about is lost, confused, imprisoned and doesn't know who they are anymore, perhaps they don't feel anything anymore. "Struggle to find your way back home!" Now it's hard to know who you are and what to feel. The person they are singing about wants to go back to where they were, but they are struggling as they don't see the path anymore. "Follow the sound of my voice!" He is asking the person he is singing about to trust them, and follow them, to give into the sound of their voice as their glimmer of hope. "Follow if you got no choice!" As he knows there is no other choices left for that person, it's the only way he can take them out of the darkness. "Deeper and deeper, you find a way out!" This line is like saying if you do follow my voice, you will see yourself ascend from the shadows deeper back into the light again. "Louder and louder, you move with the sound!" As you hear his voice, the sound it makes will only become stronger, and finally free you. "There is nothing left to remind you!" At this point when you follow his voice, you forget everything, all the dark thoughts, the darkness finally disappears, you gave into him. "Heaven seems, so far away!" He explains that what possibly once was a good feeling seems gone forever. But he is not willing to give up and knows it's attainable. "You like to stay, in the darkness." This line is like saying now you want to stay in the darkness as perhaps you feel like darkness is the easier choice, doesn't mean that he agrees with it, this is why it's followed up with "But you can find, a little bit inside yourself.". This line states that he knows that there is something still there, and that little bit is all that's required to come out of that darkness, and he knows that you can find it in you, and he is not willing to quit. "You can follow me." You can follow him out of that state as it's still in you he is there for you, you can find yourself in heaven again. He is not gonna quit. This song is actually quite amazing, and very deep. Much deeper than I originally thought. Definitely one of my favourites if not the most favourite song now.

It's actually kinda scary how much I relate to this song. I used to be in a deep depressive state(I was in the darkness), and I honestly had no hope(my heart was set in stone). I was suicidal, I could have certainly "disappeared". Then I met my boyfriend, and he changed my life. He was that glimmer of hope for me, the voice I followed. I followed the sound of his voice. I found some heaven in myself. I discovered my redeeming qualities. He stayed in the darkness with me, and he is still guiding me to the light, but I am almost there. We've known each other for 5 years, and been together for 2 years. It's going very well. My depression/anxiety are still here, but I've learned ways to cope and he always helps me. Heaven seemed so far away, but now it's right in front of me. I can see it. And I know everything is going to be okay because he will always be by my side.

Gonna step out of my comfort zone now. My name is Diamond. I wll not give my real name. I am 17 years old. Gonna turn 18 soon in 2023. This song While I never heard of it when it was releaseed. But It captures something whinthin me. The feeling of drifting dissapeering is something very prominent in the song. Similar to how my life was. I tried studying art and failed for two years. Those could have been spend on more productive things like staying with my friends that all have graduated. Chances are I will not be able to meet them in person again. This is problably the thing that embodies of regret that I have. Drifting further and further from those I love And losing the thing that I hold deer the most. However, I will not give up on art. Even from all the fears and failure that I have endured. I wll not falter back on the thing I have spend time on the most. This will not be seen by many. This will just be a reminder of where I am now. What I have done in the past. And what I want for the future of my self.
