Fish on Buddy and congratulations for your nice catch! I am from the Philippines. By the way what kind or species of fish that you have caught?, Is that a Bass or Trout? I am not particular of that kind of fish found in America but for me it was similar to a Grouper a salt water fish that have a big mouth and their only difference was their color. Thanks for your featuring a field test of Kastking Royale legend Glory in pair combo with Ugly stick rod. I want to buy that kind of fishing gear maybe the reel was in 4000 series to be tested in Ocean rock fishing or in Seashore Casting. I love Kastking reel for I have a Royale legend 2 series 3000 and it was reliable in my fishing adventures. It was tough, beautiful in design, lighter in weight compared to other brand in its class, and very flexible for it can be pair in a set up of both Light and Medium Light action or power of the tip of the rod.😊😊😊👍👍👍

Hi, thank you so much for commenting. I am largely a bass fisherman. I catch a lot of largemouth bass like the one in the video. I've also caught small mouth bass. A very fun fish to catch. I have also caught crappie, sunfish, channel catfish, carp, bowfin, drum, and Flathead catfish. The Kastking Royal Legend glory has been very good for me. I really recommend it with the ugly stik carbon. Mine is a 4000 series and it has been working very well for me. Thank you for the support.

It really looks like they belong together. I have the ultralight version of this rod and I'm looking for a reel. Would this reel do the job? Ps. I fish saltwater

Yes I absolutely think this reel would work. It's been pretty durable for me, granted it's in freshwater but overall it's been pretty good. My Mexico trip I went on two years ago was the first time I had ever fished saltwater. So I basically have no experience fishing in it. But I think that reel would do great. I also recommend the Kastking Sharky III. That's also a really good reel. Thank you for commenting.

Damn you .....I'll probably get that rod now 😅. I have 4 Ugly Stik rods already and many others , but that one matches pretty good. I just ordered the 3000 size. I hope it's better than the Lews reels. I blew up a couple of Lews recently on big shad 😅. A Smash and a American Hero. The Smash was new so Amazon let me have the money back.

Lol trust me I understand. I really think this combo is fantastic. It's not super lightweight but it's been really good for me. If you really want a durable reel I would also recommend the Kastking Sharky III.

Just ordered the Royale advantage rod in 7ft medium and the Royale glory spinning 3000 reel. I also got the centron combo in 6'6. Both were on sale for black friday. I heard mixed reviews about kastking online so I hope they work out for me.

Kastking has been great for me so far. Never really had any issues with any of the reels and rods I bought from them. They seem to be quality products with a reasonable price. I'm sure you will be happy with them.

Nothing at all wrong with Kastking. Shimano and Diawa gear is almost all made in China. Just a few to their stuff is made in Japan and that start over $300.

Ugly stik is a good choice. I have four. 1 gx2 pro, and 3 Carbons. I am in North East Indiana.

@@nwifishing5228 For me the fishing is hit and miss…lol. There are plenty of ponds everywhere that have tons of small sunfish. They are mostly dinks and some dink large mouth as well. I use ultralight gear a lot so it makes fishing them a little bit of fun. I am still driving to Parks, rivers and lakes. Pigeon River is beautiful and you have a lot of different species there.

Thanks for commenting. The Rod is 6'8" Medium fast action. I really wanted a MH but they didn't have it. I definitely recommend it.

Just bought one of these to pair up with a $20 seven foot heavy, fast action Grit Stick. Hopefully this graphite composite Walmart clone of a "Ugly Stik" serves me well for a few years.

I found your video because I have the Carbon already ordered to pair with my Kastking reel loaded with 8 lb Zebco Cajun. I'm going for peak candy apple red. I don't know from performance so, my sh*t needs to be pretty. ;) The Ugly Stik Elite I had it paired to is just way too heavy for the age of my wrists and the tendonitis therein. As someone who has done some of this, your audio is spot on and your video quality is [not suck]. Also, you're not a boring self-indulgent dickhead. Apparently. ;)

Like personal like them. I usually don't customize any of my spinning reels. That's something I might look into in the future
