Kastking Royale Legend II Spinning Reel Review

I'm reviewing this budget friendly spinning reel from Kastking. This reel is super affordable, let's see if it's worth the price.

Bough my first KastKing last year, a Zephyr BFS. Only paid $79 for it and I LOVE IT! I love it so much I just bought their brand new Kestrel Elite BFS with duel braking system (magnetic and centrifugal) Paid $219 for it and it's awesome! Granted I did upgrade the spool bearings on both reels but considering the money I paid for the reels, another $40 in bearings (for each reel) was no big deal. (the Kestrel didnt have to have upgraded bearings but the Zephyr definitely did) Considering fit, finish, components, function and price KastKing simply can not be beat!

I love KastKing reels they're the only reels I buy now and their destron braided fishing line and Kovert fluorocarbon leader line is all use now too.

I just ordered a 3000 size. It looks similar in color to a Lews Smash that just blew up on me. I hope it does better. I almost ordered a Sharky. I have an older one with the metal frame. Just realized , I ordered the new Legend. The red Glory model.

I have same reel in lime green 500 size paired up w/ okuma celilo ultralight for trout. It's my perfect trout and bream set up.

Looks a lot like the Lew's Mach Smash. I bet they're made in the same factory.

Yes. The only reason Lew's is more money is because of the name.

@@Seawave669 I don't see why either because Lew's customer service sucks in my experience. I asked to order a lay-line washer and they couldn't even do that.

I had a Lews Smash and a Lews American Hero blow up on me. Both within a week.

@@davidarwood6264 I have the Lews American Hero, but haven't used it much. I bought the Lews Mach 2, 3rd generation. I'm hoping I will have better luck based on what you just said. The Mach 2 was close to a C-note.
