Super video. What a great stronghold that must have been, I'm guessing against pirates. Amazingly well preserved considering it's position open to the elements from all sides. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you very much for your kind words. Its my pleasure sharing it with you. I write you some information about Kastri ... About 45 minutes from Halandriani (a small settlement near by), a prehistoric settlement was discovered from the end of the Early Cycladic period II covering an area of ​​3.5 - 5 acres. Excavations in this area have exposed a cemetery with some 600 graves, as well as findings of immeasurable value that indicate that pottery, stone and metalwork were developed in the area. The various vases, jewels and household items found also against excavations in the wider area indicate that this was a highly developed settlement. The two archaeological sites of Chalandriani and Kastri are connected by a long but difficult road that is worth pursuing, as it leads into the depths of history.

I made this hike a few weeks ago on Syros and absolutely loved it. I didn’t manage to make it to the top of Kastrí but hiked up and down the surrounding hills. Great footage you got! I’ll be making a short feature about Chalandriani and Kastrí for an upcoming video and also wanted to ask: would I be able to use a few of your drone clips for it?
