The band was not Chester’s band he was not the only person in the band I knew Chester too very well from Arizona I met him before even Grey Daze I loved him in Linkin Park but yall haters need to stop the band started before Chester he came in later if they want to move on To a next chapter they are welcome too for yall these people that are hating I bet they are the same people listening to Back in Back or the Razors Edge or other AC/DC records after 1980 and loving them so show Linkin Park the same respect because if you didn’t know Brian Johnson is not the original vocalist of AC/DC no one really hated on them for Moving on with Brian Johnson after Bon Scott died people need to chill

Why is everyone a “hater” for not liking Emily? Let people like what they want. If the fans prefer Chester’s vocals, the only thing they'll miss out on is concerts. If the fans prefer Emily, that's awesome, and if they like both, that's cool, too.

@@arcadeguy781 I personally don’t mind about opinions of not liking her or preferring Chester’s vocals I’m talking about ppl just downright hating on LP for the decision to move on in a new chapter like if these people don’t like it they don’t have to listen and honestly I’ve always loved Kat Von D but that was out of line you can’t call them a cover band 1 Chester wasn’t the only person in Linkin Park he wasn’t the only songwriter and they made a whole new record there not doing only what Chester sang on Linkin Park is so good because it’s always been a group effort I’m just saying like leave them alone saying you like Chester better that’s one thing I get it I mean I wish he wasnt gone I wish he was still here but since he’s not I mean I’m still always gonna love what he did but not gonna hate on the band or stop supporting because they came back and have a new vocalist

Everybody has his or her own opinion but like you said there's been other singers replaced and no one hating like this Alice in Chains Layne Staley died they got Will DuVall STP Scott Weiland died they got Jeff Gutt it happens Freddy Mercury died that had Paul Rogers and now Adam Lambert Van Halen David Lee Ross was replace with Sammy Hagar to name a few. I think she awesome and there are focused and writing some great songs I've been a fan and still a fan I'm along for the ride I don't want to miss out Linkin Park for Ever!

This is one of the big points I've argued on other videos in the comments. So many people arguing this idea that Chester is LP, but that is the farthest thing from the truth. LP is the band. Chester was an amazing addition. Even when Chester wasn't singing in a song, it still felt like LP. It was the whole band that gave itself its unique feel. LP has no obligation to change its name, nor should they. Emily brings her own thing to the band. She isn't replacing what Chester brought, nor dishonering him. After hearing their new song "Emptiness Machine", I did feel LP's vibe. They remain what I expect from LP, and that is good enough.

Looking at it this way, Chester may have been such a huge member of the band, but he wasn't the ONLY member. He's left huge shoes to fill and it has literally taken several years to find someone to not necessarily replace him, but to help the band move forward and I like the person they've picked - Emily Armstrong. When she sings she definitely does remind me of him, so I, along with many others, are enjoying the new sounds and are glad they're back....

It's like people idolize Chester as the very essense of LP, like no one else matters. I love what Chester brought to the band, but he definitely wasn't the only band member. LP only is LP because of everyone in the band. LP still sounded like LP even when Chester wasn't singing in a song.
