Hey Kat, you got a first class seat, but not the service. This route they utilise the first class seats for select members and guests :) Hence the difference in what you were expecting

The good news is that Cathay Pacific and Singapore are renewing their business class , premium economy and first class from now till next on there B777-300ER. Singapore airlines is soo good I v always wanted to try SIA but they are soo expensive compare to Cathay Pacific.

There is a price difference Cathay is a bit cheaper then SIA but if I was you I d choose SIA for their service etc,and pay extra few hundred quids more for better service, catering, improved product, etc.
