Thank you for this sensei (Scotty). Sorry for my absence recently. I would have loved to been in a café reading my copy of your book, instead I was in yet another doctor's waiting room prior to an appointment. You know my situation so sometimes my time is not my own. I'm also going to miss next weeks live session too unfortunately. Being able to catch up later is always valuable so thank you. I really appreciate the opportunity to have a look at kata through the lens of your Kyokushin. So many similarities and parallel ideas. BTW, the book didn't come today as Australia Post had promised. This means I've spent the weekend enjoying the anticipation of its arrival. Stay happy and healthy!

Great stuff, having experience in wrestling brought me to very similar conclusions and applications. Nice to see it in Kyokushin circles :)

Yes, like Sosai said in This is Karate, it's all one, just different focus on different areas. He pointed out that grappling techniques are the common property of all martial arts including karate, even though karate has focused on the strikes.
