Ive lived on the Island for 31 years and would not dream of giving any advice on the current situation its Sunday here and another day of massive rain fall the last time we saw weather like this was in 2011 ,My advice keep off the roads especially motor bikes and cars that can be quickly overwhelmed by flash floods stay in you're room unless in an area with good road drainage and use reliable weather Sat forecasting.

I’m in Kata Beach now and was here during the flood. Watched a video to get more information and the video said there was “looting.” Looting? Where? It was a garbage video. Yup! Made for “clicks.”

Just home today , was in Kata , walked past this the next day ... this area was very safe ... yes from an Irish lady .... and the locals were amazing 👏. It was eye opening but never felt unsafe ...

Thanks a lot for the information. We are travelling on Saturday and will be staying in Patong and Kamala. You video gives me confidence that i should not cancel the plan now

I saw a video where it says there are heavy flooding in Phuket. Showing a video where knee level water is visible and loss of property as well. I think they are using some old video

Most welcome 😊 enjoy your holiday you may see me walking around Patong in the coming days 👍 Do say hello 🙂

Better to be safe than sorry! It's better to postpone your trip to November onwards. The rain will come again n it really rains cats n dogs in Phuket for the month of Sept n Oct. Floods n landslides might happen again.
@thailandtonyАй бұрын
I have to disagree especially if you will lose your money. will see on my next video that covers the area at night on the 27th Aug you would be making a big mistake cancelling your holiday because you think the area isn't safe 🧐
@Fiat-kl6ltАй бұрын
@@thailandtony If you can't postpone your trip or get your money back, than you won't have a choice but to carry on with the trip. But for me personally I make it a point now not to travel to Phuket n Krabi in Sept n Oct.
@Fiat-kl6lt8 күн бұрын
Folks, avoid Phuket in Sept n Oct.The rains are torrential n it causes flooding n landslides.You'll not know where n when the next landslide will take place.

Hii i m traveling to phuket on monday , is it safe to travel??
@thailandtonyАй бұрын
Yes perfectly safe, unfortunately there are those on social media who don't show the full picture as the saying goes bad news sells but it's often misleading. the events that happened on the 23th are no longer affecting the area to any great extent regarding visiting as a tourist
