Every time I listen to him I am amazed. His sort of music self is so matured that it's hard to believe this a child playing the violin. What a huge pice to take on. This is one of my favourite violin concerto’s. As has been mentioned the recording is not the best but you can hear moments of genius in Christians playing. Once again he brings his interpretation to the piece. Christian is now entering the “big league “ of violin playing, so is not just playing with piano accompaniment. There were a couple of times he was out of time with the rest of the orchestra, this is a skill I’m sure Christian will perfect quickly. It may have been just nerves but the minor lapses did not overshadow Christians, once again phenomenal playing. His playing is truly outstanding and I see him put so much feeling into his playing. He also plays with a huge amount of maturity and empathy for the piece. Well done Christian a great performance.
@nickyork89014 жыл бұрын
The conductor was not always following him, in my view, particularly in the slow movement where he (Christian) clearly wanted to move it on - it does not have to be played that slowly to be effective and the orchestra was tending to wallow in the music.

They are not only very gifted, but also start to play their instruments at a very young age, with 2 or 3 or even youger, together with the learning of their languages and with the learning of the letters. In Asian languages are very complicated scriptures with very much letters and therefore have children to start probably very early to read and write them. Be I right with my impression? Unbelievable performance yet again from someone who could be my grandchild...bravo Christian! 👏👏👏 However, my only complaint is that the orchestra overpowered the soloist big time. He should've been amplified. I also would've liked to see some close-ups on Christian during the performance, instead of having the entire orchestra in the frame the whole time.
@stewartsiu19604 жыл бұрын
I think the problem is the not that the orchestra is too loud, but that the recording is clipping (bascially the sound signal is amplified to a level higher than the max for the recording device at some point) thus creating huge distortion when the orchestra is playing.
