That calm and clean played passage sounds amazing, just to be followed by a double-bass beat and some heavy chunky riffs. Great song! I haven't listened to Kataklysm for a while because the last album wasn't my cup of tea, but the two albums before that were fantastic! So I'm looking forward to the upcoming album. :)

What truly sets this band apart is how the lyrics and instruments always feel and sound like pure hate. Whatever inspiration they use for their music, you can tell it's genuine and not pretentious in the slightest or "edgy" for it's own sake. That genuineness is what does it for me, no other music comes close as an anti-depression, anti-defeatism, self-esteem raiser and gym motivator.

Kataklysm is one of the oldest in yue game. Theyve worked for many years trying to develope a certain sound and some people love it and some dont. Im one of the omes that like it. This band to me is one of the best death metal bands out there. They're more vocal and honed in on the heaviness.

I would love to LOVE that band I have followed since their first album I used to own as a promo CD but in the end I only kept In The Arms Of Devastatation and Prevail. Not saying other albums aren't good but the band misses a little something to make them stand out of the mass imo. Good musicians though, dunno what's missing.
