Dude this is so cool!!!!! This falls so well in line with George Lucas’ idea of the Jedi and Sith as ronin and samurai (robes [Kenobi] v lacquered armor [Vader]) and I love the way you used a pipe for the handled. Really creative and awesome piece!!!

Did you have any rattling issues using the pipe tsuka? Were the nuts interfering with your handling much?

You could definitely feel the nuts, but I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable. As for any rattling, there was absolutely none! Even after all of our testing.

@@JumboRadish nice, i can assume you made the fuchi like normal with a blade shaped opening? That would help stability. I really thought the nuts would dig into your hands and be a total pain, but some of those cuts were pretty sweet. Your technique is improving. The tatami shows it. Naturally a skywalker green as in rotj or get nuts with a revan purple to make a blade for dark/light/one who used both would follow if you made more on this theme. Been curious, how daring would you get on sori? Keep it coming.

I believe that is a big part of it. I have been trying to make more traditional style Katanas, with deeper curves and a thinner tip.
