Katara Learns Plant Bending to Save Team Avatar #avatarthelastairbender #avatar #atla As Katara prepares a massive bubble of water over Azula ready to crush her and put an end to her once and for all, we see two sharp lotus flowers fly into frame as Aang and the others have to dodge, and Katara gets hit in the arm causing her to lose concentration on bending. This continues as a storm of these start to fly towards them like Shuriken, and Team Avatar starts to realize that it’s almost the like the Forest Itself is attacking them. Katara being an expert water bender says she realizes what’s going on here thanks to Sokka, since the flowers are shattering as if they’re completely frozen, so someone is using water bending in the forest around them to attack them. On the side as Aang is about to get ran through by a bunch of vines, Sokka throws his boomerang and saves Aang saying that’s not all they’re bending, but when the roots continue towards him while he’s helpless he’s actually shocked when AZULA steps in to save him with her blue flames. Sokka says thanks and Azula says the more peasants she has helping her the easier this mission will be, as Zuko gets captured by the vines and needs to get saved by Aang, who also gets thrown to the ground by the power of the forest. This is where Katara really starts to shine, as she looks at the entire forest falling around her and trying to kill her, and calmly begins to use her bending to control ALL OF THE PLANTS IN THE AREA, yelling out whoever you are, you’re not the only one who can water bend, so SHOW YOURSELF.

​@zeozeto5457 well, the blood bending lady did demonstrate taking all the water out of plants before teaching Katara blood bending. While possibly being a stretch, it wouldn't be too difficult to believe Katara could do some experimentation with plants after all that (it is sort of the same principle as blood bending, as you are manipulating the water inside the plants to move the plants, like how you're manipulating the water in the blood to making a person unwillingly move their body)

Not really, she learned that there is water inside plants that she can remove to waterbend, not how to bend the water while it's still in the plants, allowing her to control the plants.

Not really, she could pull the water OUT OF plants like she could with mud but didn’t figure out the complex systems within plants. Think of it as sewing: There is a difference between stabbing a piece of fabric and pushing thread in (Pulling water from plants and mud) vs. how to make careful movements with controlled hands crafting a handmade tapestry with a small needle and thread. (Actual sewing)

NO!! FULL STOP!! I WILL NEVER GIVE JET ANY SLACK FOR HIS ACTIONS!! I understand wanting to fight the fire nation. However, wiping out an entire town full of civilians for revenge is too far over the line. Let's say Jet blew up the Dam because he had a map that said there was a military camp in that location instead of the village and Jet couldn't get close enough to verify because of fire nation patrols. Then, it would be understandable. Jet thought he was getting rid of fire nation soldiers, only to find out too late it was civilians. Sokka had been trying to warn him because he got new info, but got nowhere. He manages a miracle and saves the village. They reconcile and become friends. That is actually a better episode than what we got.
