Elisabeth Donkers, an ambitious 38 year old woman tries to rescue her father in law's fruit company. She convinces her husband and his siblings to take over the company and to modernize it. She wants to enlarge the company and this turns into a quest trying to prove herself to her authoritarian father. As well as problems her quest causes with other family members she discovers that she has problems with her eyes.
