Only just yesterday developed some interest in Ben Folds, via the NPR Tiny Desk series. He strikes me as kind of a songwriter's songwriter, and I can't say his vocals have grown on me, yet. So far, I'd much rather listen to you singing his stuff, including this, that he covered at TD. Beautifully done, Ms. Kelly, so thank you! This one's a keeper.

oh my goodness thank you so much! yes! id say ben is more well-loved for his songwriting. aside from his insane piano skills, he is also so clever yet simple in his lyrics, and the way he arranges for strings (!!!), you should definitely look into him more- he has also written/arranged for many more artists than people seem to know about. he is one of my absolute favorites:) and thanks again!!!

Fantastic! I was wondering if you have ever heard the song Dr Monroe by Casey Dienel. I hear ghosts of similarity in the style especially in your originals which I also enjoyed.
