just had my first ever Kat game and faced this man, from a way higher elo than me to booth, he absolutely destroyed me xD just waited for me to jump in and otherwise hardpushed and farmed with Qs, abusing his range vs me, it was hell :') luckily my entire team fed so i didn't look like the sole lose condition

He's a challenger player in silver so obviously he's gonna be crazy ahead in games so by delaying items it limits his lead making them more fair and showing what most games will be like

@@caycelusinger3580 Well yeah I get that, but I don't think delaying items is really going to show the difference in mmr or rank. would also be a good learning experience for his laners or whoever else that they can't keep fighting or playing the same way once someone's snowballed.

@@bobert4958 i think the main target is us, and not his opponents ingame, he wants to show us that he wins the game by good decision making and good plays, and not just because he has big item leads on the enemies. i get that he gets the item leads in the first place, by being more skilled and outplaying them, obviously, but i dont think the rest of the game, ( after he gets a big items lead) , would be super informative for the viewers anymore.

Katarina is pretty brain dead easy to play if you're so fed that you kill everyone on the map before they have a shot to kill you. So the first kills from most high level players are usually the most informative. By not buying items he is effectively showing more "even" fights where his advantage is not much beyond the difference in skill.
