In this form of seizure and according to very precise angles of movement, we have the possibility of practicing the principles of the circle and the lever around which the majority of techniques in Aikido are articulated, whatever the style practiced.
Applying the principles of the circle and the lever will prevent you from coming into opposition with your partner and being confronted with his physical strength, just as these principles will prevent you from using your own physical strength.
All techniques must be applied with power but without force, it is important to distinguish between these two aspects of the practice.

Many thanks for sharing, with attention to detail! In my experience, against a strong grip, the first movement is the most difficult part. Our aikido club follows Terry Ezra sensei's approach of using the elbow of the arm that is being held to easily pull the uke / tori's arm to the side (tori’s arm then bends around the elbow), which works well even against a strong grip. It can be compared somewhat to uke grabbing kata dori and tori then using the body/shoulder to step off to the side, which is hard for uke to resist. The further away the contact point is from tori’s body and center, and the closer uke holds his arm to his body, the more difficult it becomes to step to the side.
