I thought the 'simplistic' drumming on records such as tonight's decision always suited their sound best, but Daniel as you said, is very creative and made the music so much better, which is what drums are supposed to do, breathe life into the music I guess.

I think the song is about eternal happiness and heaven being a lie and the lies we were taught by organised religions. It is the awareness that when we part out of this world, we will be nothing but earth and dust. The first verse is about finding the “realism” of life and death by the lyricist. “Killed my soul” is a kind of symbolism used to indicate that he is not a Christian anymore. Also the way the heaven is explained does not bring any clarity for resolution. The second verse of the song is about the leave of the lyricist from the religious structure. The term “migration’s song” and “verdict” is the decision made the lyricist not the follow the rules of the church but only his own. The bridge is a kind of call to follow your own motives. The moral of the story is to live the life of ours with our ideals of the current world. The freedom we seek after life is something which we will never have. * I might be completely wrong about the meaning

The same old same Katatonia sound,lp after lp.Not a single shred of evolution. An aesome band in metal.Still Opeth,Amorphis and others are artists that evolve their sound.Katatonia now has 13 similar albums.

You seem to have beans in your ears. You can't equal songs from Brave Murder Day with this album. Different time, different metal style. Better stick to your Opeth, a band that means nothing to me! ;-)
